Kardashians finally reveal who pays for yearly Christmas party that has hosted Jennifer Lopez and Elon Musk

Khloe Kardashian shared that her family members each contribute equally to cover the expenses of their annual, lavish Christmas Eve party.

The Kardashian-Jenner family members take turns hosting their parties, and last year’s event was reportedly held at Kendall Jenner’s $8.5 million home in Beverly Hills.

Over the years, the event has attracted many famous guests, such as Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, Paris Hilton, Elon Musk, Dave Chappelle, John Legend, Tyler the Creator, and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, before recent controversies.

Khloe, 41, and her mother, Kris Jenner, 70, are sharing a behind-the-scenes look at their annual Christmas celebrations, a tradition Kris started back in 1978.

The yearly party started during Kris Jenner’s time as a housewife in Beverly Hills, when she was married to Robert Kardashian – the father of her four oldest children and a future lawyer for O.J. Simpson.

Kris hosted an annual party for years. As her children made more friends, the party grew to include around 200 to 300 guests, and the location started changing each year, moving between family members’ homes, as she explained on Khloe in Wonderland.

Kris started to say she enjoyed it a lot more previously, and that whenever someone else took over and did things their own way – but Khloe interrupted her.

Honestly, I was so relieved when Khloe told my mom she didn’t want to host this year. She was really clear – she just wasn’t up for it. She said she didn’t want a huge crowd at her place, and she actually told my mom she was proud of me for taking care of things last year. It meant a lot to hear her say that, and I’m glad she’s prioritizing her own peace of mind.

Several Kardashian-Jenner properties weren’t available, so Khloe’s home was initially proposed. However, Kris quickly suggested using Kendall’s place instead.

It wasn’t clear if Khloe and Kris were talking about the recent Christmas party, which seemed to have taken place at Kendall’s home, or one that’s planned for next week.

Kris shared how much she loves watching her children grow up and create their own special Christmas Eve traditions, and how wonderful it is for the whole family to spend time together each year.

Khloe explained that the family will collaborate on the event’s theme using a shared Pinterest board and by inviting everyone to the planning meetings with Mindy Weiss.

Jeff Weiss, 56, is an event planner well-known for his work with the Kardashians. He’s particularly famous for creating Kylie Jenner’s elaborate StormiWorld birthday parties for her daughter, Stormi, age seven, who she shares with Travis Scott.

Khloe explained that participation matters. If someone misses a meeting, they can’t later complain about the decisions made. ‘You can’t skip out and then show up to the third meeting saying you disagree,’ she said. ‘We’ve already discussed things and made decisions on X, Y, and Z in the previous meetings.’

Kris sweetly mentioned she loves promoting products from her family’s brands, like Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS and Kendall Jenner’s 818 tequila, as a way to support ‘our friends.’

Khloe playfully accused her mom, Kris, of loving self-promotion. Kris countered that she just enjoys giving out party favors, but Khloe insisted Kris definitely loves a good ‘plug’ – a mention or promotion of something.

Kendall, who might be hosting this year’s Christmas Eve party, shared some details about it in an interview last week.

She said they had a more intimate Christmas Eve celebration last year, which she really enjoyed. Typically, their celebrations have been much larger, going back as far as she can remember.

The supermodel told People she’s pleased they’re having a more intimate gathering this year, describing it as ‘cozy’.
