Kanye West’s World Implodes

In simple terms, the widely criticized musician Kanye West has essentially been abandoned by most of his team, and he’s currently living in seclusion in Japan. Meanwhile, his marriage is teetering on the edge.

This week, West returned to a hotel in Tokyo following an uproar over his series of posts on the platform (previously known as Twitter), endorsing fascist ideologies.

Wife Bianca Censori is not thought to be with him.

Last month, a hint of tension in my relationship became more noticeable following an event at the Grammy Awards. My spouse creatively orchestrated a moment where I graced the red carpet in a unique way, stripping down to reveal a tasteful, yet attention-grabbing ensemble. The response was intense and, as it turned out, not entirely welcomed by everyone at home.

After their disagreement, they eventually made up; however, recent news indicates that for the past month, they’ve been residing mostly apart, staying in separate hotels in Los Angeles.

A single reference indicates that a 30-year-old Australian individual named Censori seeks to distance herself from someone who previously asserted control over her, yet their connection continues to be intense and preoccupying for both parties.

Many others seem to be departing, it’s been mentioned. I’ve heard that almost the entire team has gone, even John Monopoly, his long-term manager.

The source states that everyone is no longer here. It’s either that he dismissed them, or they left due to his actions.

Last year, Monopoly resumed working with West again, who he helped uncover and bring to stardom back in the early ’90s. It was Monopoly who initially connected West with Jay-Z, who was once both a close friend and collaborator of his.

Additionally, individuals such as talent agent Daniel McCartney from 33 & West have also severed connections. In a statement issued in February, he announced that his professional bond with West had concluded ‘instantly and permanently… due to his offensive and intolerant comments’. Regrettably, this is not the only adverse development.

It’s been made known that the rapper has been barred from traveling to China, preventing him from giving a show at the renowned Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Lijiang next month, an opportunity that would have potentially earned him $7 million.

It seems that West might not give it much thought. Back in February, he shared on X that he tours for the financial gain, and expressed a preference for playing “The Last of Us Part One and Two,” games created by Jewish developers, stating “Well done. Thanks.

It was part of an anti-Semitic spree on social media, after Elon Musk let him back on the platform.

Amongst my countless posts to my 32 million followers on Twitter, I’ve expressed an unwavering admiration for Hitler, self-proclaimed myself as a follower of the Nazi ideology, and dismissed anti-Semitism as mere fabrication concocted by the Jewish community.

After the dispute, Shopify temporarily closed down the online store for brand Yeezy, due to its sales of T-shirts bearing a swastika symbol.

Is it bye-bye American pie for Meghan and Gwynnie?

Gwyneth Paltrow, often referred to as the “Influencer Queen”, has made efforts to assure everyone that there is no tension between her and her neighbor in Montecito, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, in reality.

Earlier this week, Paltrow extended an invitation to Meghan for their initial get-together at Paltrow’s residence. The purpose of the gathering was for Meghan to participate in a humorous Instagram video, where she would pretend to eat pie, continuing a private joke between them, following a video Paltrow posted that some perceived as indirect criticism towards the Duchess.

But will Meghan get another invite?

It seems that neither woman subscribes to the other’s Instagram account, or follows their respective brands there.

 Disney’s dwarfs missing in action

Disney appears to have been both Dopey and Bashful about Snow White merchandise.

In their stores and themed areas, there are only a few items related to the new live-action movie. You’ll find only two exclusive $149 dolls modeled after actresses Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot available for purchase.

Instead, you can purchase toys based on the original 1937 seven dwarf characters from the animation, but not those of the 2025 computer-generated imagery (CGI) versions. Cheerio!

High-budget movies often earn substantial income through merchandise sales, such as the example of Wicked. It seems a little puzzling that Disney is hesitant about capitalizing on this opportunity with their Frozen characters.

Impossible gig…after meeting Tom in the loo

Known for his generosity, Tom Cruise’s tradition of giving homemade Christmas coconut cakes to his friends has become a well-known tale within the Hollywood community.

Instead of just a simple coconut cake, Ving Rhames, who starred alongside Tom Cruise in eight Mission: Impossible movies, desired something more. So, Cruise went above and beyond by presenting him not only with a multi-layered cake but also an electric bicycle as well.

Rhames, portraying agent Luther Stickell, muses: ‘He’s an exceptional executive producer, as he values people and looks after his team, both crew and actors. On my birthday, he gifted me an electric bike, and even a three-tier cake adorned with Mission: Impossible images.’

Rhames, affectionately known as “Ving” (short for Irving) by his friend Stanley Tucci during their acting school days, became a part of the Mission: Impossible franchise for the initial movie released in 1996.

As it turns out, he shared that he encountered Tom at the screening of Pulp Fiction in Central Park. While they were both in the restroom, he found himself alone with Tom. They started chatting, and Tom inquired about the movie. Later, he gave me a warm embrace, leading the photographers to believe we were acquainted. However, I should clarify that I didn’t actually know him at the time. A week later, though, Tom handed me the script for Mission: Impossible.

In my recent conversation with Tom, I posed a question about a pattern we’ve noticed in literature – “Why does it seem like black characters often meet their end early on?” He responded thoughtfully, asking, “Indeed, why is that the case?” Now, after completing book number eight, I can’t help but express my gratitude and appreciation for the stories that have been shared.

He added: ‘Tom is really the only person I know who doesn’t see colour.’

In all eight Mission: Impossible movies, Rhames is the only actor besides Cruise who appears. Beginning May 23, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning can be seen in theaters.

Like mother, like daughter, as Mia sets a course for Cannes

It appears that Mia Threapleton is taking after her mother, Kate Winslet, in numerous aspects, one of which being her intentions to attend the Cannes Film Festival early in her career this coming May.

As a die-hard admirer, here’s how I might put it: At the ripe age of 24, Mia (daughter of the incredible Kate Winslet by her first husband Jim Threapleton), has graced our screens in the Channel 4 drama titled I Am Ruth. Sharing the limelight with my idol, this young lady is surely following in her mother’s footsteps!

However, she’s about to experience her most significant role yet in Wes Anderson’s upcoming movie titled “The Phoenician Scheme,” a project that seems destined for this year’s film festivals.

The character portrayed by Benicio del Toro is Zsa-zsa Korda, one of Europe’s wealthiest individuals. His on-screen daughter, played by Mia, is a nun.

The movie featuring an illustrious group of stars such as Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, Rupert Friend, Bryan Cranston, and Benedict Cumberbatch will debut in the United States on May 30th.

Anderson released his last feature-length film, Asteroid City, in Cannes two years ago.

At the tender age of 19, Kate Winslet made her way to the Croisette for the promotion of the movie adaptation titled “Jude,” which was inspired by Thomas Hardy’s novel “Jude The Obscure.” In this production, she had the privilege of working alongside Christopher Ecclestone.

That came out the year before Titanic propelled her to international stardom.

Mia will additionally appear in “The Buccaneers,” a television series based on Edith Wharton’s novel. The second season premieres in June on Apple TV+.

The original drummer for Oasis, Tony McCarroll, shared that the band’s lead singer, Liam Gallagher, showed a more compassionate side toward him when Liam recently reached out and invited Tony to attend one of his performances last year.

On Definitely Maybe, McCarroll played a part, but he was subsequently let go by Noel Gallagher’s brother, and Alan White took his place instead. Later on, McCarroll took legal action against the band, eventually reaching a settlement out of court.

Last week, Liam extended an invitation to me for his Definitely Maybe tour, which I believe was intended as my grand celebration. To put it simply, attending this concert feels like the perfect closure for me – it marks the end of a chapter in my life that I’m eager to move beyond.

Prue Leith is unable to forget her calamitous attempt to make a cup of tea for the late Queen.

Inquired about her preference for tea, she responded with ‘black’. Subsequently, I added a little tea to the cup and included some lemon in it.

‘She said: ‘No Lemon!’

‘So I had to get a cocktail stick and fish the lemon out, as I had no other cup.

‘Then I put the lemon on the tray and the stain of tea went all down the cloth.

After pouring water into her cup, she commented, “I prefer it strong.” Consequently, she received a tea that was slightly lemony but weak. However, what she truly desired was a robust, unsweetened black tea without any lemon.

How Hollywood came to Cornwall to see the Doc

The popular TV series “Doc Martin” attracted several well-known Hollywood actors to visit Cornwall for a chance to meet the gruff GP character portrayed by Martin Clunes. Notable guests included Sigourney Weaver, Art Malik, and Danny Huston.

It’s now known that the production team at ITV almost secured a cameo appearance from Sir Anthony Hopkins for the show.

The multiple Oscar winner (another fan) was up for it, but fate was unkind.

Clunes mentioned that the individual expressed interest in having a minor role on Doc Martin, and we indeed crafted a part specifically for him.

Unfortunately, our schedules didn’t synchronize – he’s consistently had a packed schedule and couldn’t manage the meeting times – however, it was prepared and available whenever he could find the opportunity.

Sigourney Weaver, depicted alongside Clunes, agreed to make a guest appearance due to her lengthy friendship with actress Selina Cadell, who portrayed the pharmacist Mrs. Tishell. Martin discloses this tidbit in the upcoming final episode of Neil and Martin’s Bon Voyage, airing next week on comedy channel U & Gold. Here, Martin reminisces about his past collaboration with Neil Morrissey as they embark on a trip to France.

2022 marked the conclusion of Doc Martin, a series that spanned over ten seasons, featuring the character Dr. Martin Ellingham and his escapades in ‘Portwenn’ (actually filmed in Port Isaac).

Originally, the TV series that premiered in 2002 was derived from the 2000 movie “Saving Grace,” featuring Brenda Blethyn as a widow who cultivates marijuana. The character of the doctor, portrayed by Clunes in the film, served as the foundation for the entire show’s development.

Clunes, incidentally, is the guest host of Have I Got News For You, airing on April 11.
