Initially, West was scheduled for a major concert in South Korea at the end of May. However, this performance has now been called off, and the event organizers have shared an official statement about it.

Companies Shares Reason For Kanye West’s South Korea Show Being Dropped

Leading South Korean e-commerce brand Coupang, together with ticketing platform Interpark, had planned to host a concert by rapper Ye at Incheon Munhak Stadium. However, as reported on Monday, the event has been cancelled due to controversies surrounding Ye. The companies also mentioned that sales of Yeezy merchandise will be handled accordingly. They communicated this information to Korea JoongAng Daily (as reported by The Independent).

Unfortunately, the upcoming ‘Kanye concert’ in South Korea on May 31st has been canceled due to recent disputes involving artist Kanye West. Additionally, sales of Yeezy brand merchandise are set to pause as of 1pm on May 19th.

As a devoted fan, I’ve learned that all tickets for the concert are apparently going to be refunded. Unfortunately, neither company seems to have shed light on the exact “issues” that led to the cancellation. What we do know is that Kanye West has been making headlines and receiving criticism for various reasons recently.

What’s Been Going On With Kanye West As Of Late?

With whispers about the marriage between Kanye West and Bianca Censori circulating, reports suggest that Kanye has granted his wife significant legal duties.

The entertainer known as “Homecoming” has attracted controversy in recent times due to his social media posts. He expressed antisemitic views and shared content sympathetic towards Nazis, even seeming to empathize with Adolf Hitler. In addition to this, he’s made provocative statements about several high-profile celebrities. Kanye West claimed he had a romantic encounter with Ashley Olsen and speculated about wanting to have dated Taylor Swift, which led Swift to file a lawsuit. West also made direct comments about the children of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, for which he later apologized.

In my perspective as a movie critic, Kanye West made quite an impact in the music world with his high-profile phone conversation with Sean Combs (P. Diddy), especially considering that Diddy was awaiting trial for alleged sex trafficking at the time. Since then, Ye has been vocal about his solidarity with Puff, even going as far as acknowledging a shared understanding between them. This camaraderie extended to their musical collaboration, where they released a new song together, featuring vocals from North West, Kanye’s daughter. However, this collaboration seems to have stirred up some controversy, involving Kanye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, as he publicly threatened to unleash a storm of trouble upon her.

In one of his recent media interviews on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Kanye West’s appearance sparked controversy. Accompanied by his streaming partner, Sneako, Kanye was there to discuss updates about his personal life and career. However, things took a turn when Morgan incorrectly calculated the rapper’s social media followers, prompting Ye to abruptly leave the interview. Later on, Morgan criticized West for his behavior.
