Kanye West Sued for Anti-Semitism Amid Kim Kardashian Feud and Lawsuit Drama
Kanye West is dealing with new legal issues, coinciding with his ongoing conflict with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, and he’s now being accused of violating copyright laws due to his controversial anti-Semitic comments.
As a diehard admirer, I can’t help but express my outrage! The incomparable Alice Merton has bravely decided to take legal action against none other than West, claiming he’s been using her track “Blindside” without permission in 2022. It’s simply unacceptable for him to sample her work without authorization!
In 2023, during a live event, Merton’s music was used in the song Gun To My Head, performed by West, Ty Dolla $ign, and Kid Cudi. It wasn’t until then that she became aware he had sampled her work.
Based on legal papers from Merton, it is stated that West sought approval to utilize the song, but this request was declined because ‘the artist’s beliefs clash with ours.’ However, when West’s track was published last year, the sample was included regardless of this objection.
Over the last several years, the West has gained notoriety for a series of hateful speeches against Jewish people, such as expressing admiration for Adolf Hitler and threatening to take action at a level equivalent to “death con 3” against the Jewish community.
In legal records acquired by People, Merton emphasized that she has strong associations with the Holocaust due to her Jewish relatives who endured it and lived to tell the tale, making it a personal and significant event for her.
DailyMail.com has reached to to representatives for West for comment.
Merton, together with two companies she helped establish, has taken legal action against West in a U.S. federal court, claiming that he misused the musical composition ‘Blindside’ without proper authorization for commercial purposes.
At West’s highly publicized live event in Miami during December 2023, Gun To My Head had its first performance. It was then discovered by the public that this work included a prohibited sample from Blindside, as stated in a subsequent lawsuit.
It is claimed that in February 2024, Merton was asked by West (through BMG Rights Management) for permission to utilize Blindside, a song co-owned by Merton and some corporations; however, according to them, this request was declined.
Later on, BMG reportedly inquired through an email as to why West was rejected. The plaintiffs assert that their response was that ‘the artist’s principles clash with ours.’
Merton expressed a deep worry over the persistent, anti-Semitic and racist statements that West has been making in public.
In August 2024, West’s album “Vultures 2” was dropped, but the popular track “Gun To My Head,” which had built its own following, did not make the cut due to Merton’s disagreements.
According to Merton, once the song was omitted from the album, West’s persistent followers reportedly made threats towards Merton if she didn’t grant permission to use the sample. This escalated to a level where she felt apprehensive about going back to America for additional tour dates.
In August 2024, West unveiled a version of his song Gun To My Head, which he had recorded earlier. This recording included a sample from Blindside, as Merton allegedly declined to grant permission for its usage.

The plaintiffs are seeking a jury decision on all issues that can be decided by a jury, as well as an order for West to provide both injunctive relief and compensation for the sample they claim was misused.
In the previous month, West’s antisemitic remarks resurfaced as he stated on X platform that “I admire Hitler” and “I am a Nazi,” comments he later retracted by posting: “After deeper contemplation, I have concluded that I am not a Nazi.
The recent legal action arises during a contentious fallout between West (previously known as Kanye West) and his former spouse, Kim Kardashian, whose separation took place in 2021, marking the end of their almost seven-year matrimonial journey.
Earlier this month, the ongoing power struggle between them became prominent when West disregarded Kardashian’s concerns and released a song that included their 11-year-old daughter, North, as well as Diddy, who is currently facing trials on charges including sex trafficking.
Reports suggested that Kardashian cut short one of North’s visits with West due to the presence of Andrew Tate, a self-proclaimed misogynist, who was accompanying his brother Tristan at the same location.
Reportedly, the controversial incident involving the Tate brothers, accused of crimes such as human trafficking and sexual misconduct with a minor in Romania, supposedly led Kim Kardashian to request an urgent custody hearing.

Last week, West delivered a series of critical remarks directed towards Kardashian. He criticized her parenting skills and expressed dissatisfaction over the fact that a white woman seemed to have authority over his biracial children.
It’s reported that Kardashian might be contemplating seeking full custody of the four children she has with West: North (aged 11), Saint (9), Chicago (7), and Psalm (6).
As a committed admirer sharing this information, I can tell you that it’s been reported by a reliable source that Kardashian and her kids have expressed concern about Kanye West’s mental state deteriorating during their intense disagreements, according to Page Six.
The source claimed that West, who asserts he was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder, seemed to not be on his medication, given the current situation.
Following his heated incidents regarding X, it’s reported that 47-year-old West allegedly jetted off to Tokyo. There, several sources claim he quickly found a sense of tranquility, as per TMZ.
