Kanye West is coming back to the UK to perform live after 11 years! He’ll be the main act for all three nights of the Wireless Festival.

The 48-year-old musician, known for causing controversy, will perform in London’s Finsbury Park in July. He’s hoping the concert will help repair his public image after years of problematic behavior, including making antisemitic remarks.

Despite several attempts to revive the project, it was ultimately cancelled. Kanye West then decided to focus on and release his album, Jesus Is King, instead.

Kanye West has publicly apologized for his antisemitic comments, explaining they were related to health issues stemming from a car accident he was in back in 2002.

According to a statement in the January 26th Wall Street Journal, he claims he suffered a brain injury in the accident that wasn’t immediately recognized. He believes this lack of proper medical attention later led to his diagnosis of bipolar disorder.

Kanye explained that his mental health struggles made him feel disconnected from who he really was, and led him to be fixated on what he considered a deeply harmful symbol: the swastika.

The ad, created and paid for by Yeezy (also known as Kanye West), was titled ‘To Those I Hurt.’ In it, West explained that after reaching a low point several months ago, his wife, Bianca Censori, encouraged him to get help, which he then did.

The situation started in 2022 when he posted a tweet threatening ‘death con 3 on Jewish people.’ This resulted in the immediate termination of his contracts with several major companies, including CAA, MRC, Adidas, Gap, and Balenciaga.

The designer of the Yeezy brand has a history of making antisemitic statements and expressing admiration for Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany, and has publicly displayed hateful symbols like swastikas and worn offensive clothing like ‘White Lives Matter’ shirts.

In a strange Instagram post from 2023, he stated that watching Jonah Hill in the 2012 comedy 21 Jump Street led him to ‘like Jewish people again’.

The artist cautioned against letting anger at a few people turn into hatred for entire groups of innocent people.

Kanye West revealed he chose the album title ‘Bully’ after finding out his son, Saint, reportedly kicked another child because he considered them ‘weak’.

While they didn’t win everything, he was pleased the jury agreed their core arguments had merit – specifically, that Saxon was an employee who was injured while working. The jury awarded him compensation to cover his medical bills, which, according to Rahmani, demonstrates the validity of their case.

Rahmani told the Daily Mail that this was the first time the rapper, Ye, had ever given testimony in court. She also stated that her firm was the first to take a case against Ye all the way to trial.
