Kanye West says he’s playing a concert in Los Angeles.
The rapper formerly known as Kanye West, now calling himself Ye, announced he’ll be performing at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on April 3rd. The venue’s website states this will be his only Los Angeles show.
This month, Ye is finally releasing his long-awaited album, “Bully.” This comes after he published a full-page apology in the Wall Street Journal for his past antisemitic statements.
Ye is scheduled to return to the SoFi Stadium two years after his appearance there with Ty Dolla Sign at the 2024 Rolling Loud festival. That event, initially billed as a concert, ended up being more of a preview of their collaborative album, “Vultures 1,” with Ye and Ty Dolla Sign informally presenting the music while moving around on stage in the stadium parking lot.
So, this concert news is happening while Ye’s also dealing with a lawsuit in L.A. Apparently, a contractor is claiming he’s owed money for work he did on Ye’s Malibu house between 2021 and 2024. It’s a bit of a messy situation happening alongside the music, honestly.
Tickets for the SoFi show will go on sale Tuesday.
