Kanye West, 48, says he ‘regrets life’ during rare interview as he debuts gray hair in his beard

Kanye West was recently seen in Japan. A reporter spotted him while he was walking on the street.

In a TikTok video shared on Thursday, the 48-year-old rapper seemed unhappy while speaking with Mystery Fashionist.

The artist kept his head down while showing off a shaved head and a beard with gray hairs in it. 

When asked about past fashion regrets at the end of the interview, he paused, shook his head, and simply replied, ‘Life.’

West has not been seen in public much lately, though his wife Bianca Censori has been spotted.  

At the start of the interview, Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband – who now goes by Ye – was asked about his origins. He simply stated, ‘I’m Ye, I’m from Chi,’ referencing his nickname, Yeezus, and his childhood home of Chicago.

A fan then brought up the topic of fashion, which appeared to momentarily sadden the artist, who briefly covered his face and lowered his chin.

I’ll never forget when he was asked to rate his own style! He didn’t even hesitate – he just said it’s always a 10 out of 10. Then he started talking about his original Yeezy 950 boots, which were amazing – a really unique dark green and beige combination with brown laces. They were so ahead of their time!

West quickly mentioned the designer who made his outfit. He was wearing an acid-washed denim jacket layered under a shiny black jacket with a white hoodie, and blue jeans, while holding his phone.

When asked about a regrettable fashion trend, Kanye West paused, looked thoughtful, and simply responded, ‘Life.’

This follows a statement from his former partner, Kardashian, who recently shared that she’s finding dating increasingly unappealing since her divorce.

The 45-year-old celebrity, who separated from her husband nearly five years ago, has said she’s happily adjusted to life without a partner.

I was really struck by something Kim said on the latest episode of The Kardashians. She was talking about being single, and she shared that the longer you are on your own, the more comfortable you actually become. It really resonated with me!

After being single for a while, you become accustomed to your own routine and independence. The idea of compromising – sharing your space or habits with someone else – starts to feel less desirable because you’ve grown comfortable with things as they are.

After ending her relationship with Kanye West, Kim briefly dated comedian Pete Davidson. More recently, from late 2023 to April 2024, she was linked to NFL player Odell Beckham Jr.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are parents to four children: North, who is 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5.

Sarah Paulson, who worked with Kim on the show ‘All’s Fair,’ shared that she’s observed Kim feeling the need to shield herself from public scrutiny.

She also pointed out how often parents try to shield their children and control every aspect of their lives.

I truly hope you find a wonderful, fulfilling romance and that it flourishes.

Kim admitted she sometimes acts strong after her divorce, but emphasized she’s confident in the choices she’s making for her own well-being.

She confessed that she understood Sarah felt she was building emotional walls to avoid getting hurt and to protect herself from opening up to love.

‘But it’s OK to close down a bit and focus on the things that I want in life.’

I truly believe she hasn’t given up on love! She’s just waiting for someone special – the right person to share her life with, and when she finds them, she’ll be ready to open her heart.

She confessed she’s a total romantic and can’t wait to meet the right person, believing everything will fall into place when she does.
