Justin Timberlake, suffering from laryngitis and bronchitis, postpones six concerts

As a seasoned music enthusiast who has been to countless concerts and witnessed many unexpected twists and turns in the lives of our beloved artists, I find myself once again empathizing with Justin Timberlake. The news of his postponement of six shows due to bronchitis and laryngitis is not surprising, but it’s always disappointing for both the artist and the fans.

As a connoisseur of cinematic performances, I must share that the unexpected intermission of Justin Timberlake’s Forget Tomorrow World Tour has left me, and many others, waiting anxiously at the edge of our seats. Six concerts have been postponed due to the artist’s battle with bronchitis and laryngitis, akin to an actor needing to take a much-needed break mid-performance to ensure a grand finale that will truly captivate audiences. We eagerly await the rescheduled dates, hoping for a vibrant and energetic encore from this talented performer.

On Tuesday, the lead singer of the former boy band ‘NSYNC admitted that he wasn’t feeling great during some recent concert appearances. Due to a pair of respiratory infections, he was compelled to postpone several Midwest concerts that were scheduled for late October through early November into the new year.

The singer posted on Instagram, “Regrettably, I must move the upcoming shows from October 23rd to November 2nd. I appreciate your patience and promise to compensate for any inconvenience.

10-time Grammy winner announced a last-minute cancellation of his Columbus, Ohio performance on Wednesday. Instead, he postponed the show to February 27, 2022. Additionally, his concerts in Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, Michigan, and St. Paul, Minnesota have all been moved to February 2025.

Timberlake is currently scheduled to resume the tour Nov. 8 with a show in Sunrise, Fla.

This month, the artist famous for “Can’t Stop the Feeling” unexpectedly cancelled a performance in Newark, N.J., due to an injury that hindered him from giving the show.

Approximately an hour before the scheduled show, the singer of “Selfish” and “Cry Me a River,” expressed his regret for being unable to attend. However, he assured fans that he was working diligently to find a new date as soon as possible. He did not provide specifics regarding his injury, but announced the rescheduled concert for October 15 instead.

Justin Timberlake unveiled his sixth studio album titled “Everything I Thought It Was” in March, followed by the commencement of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour in April to support it. He performed at the Kia Forum in Inglewood during May and is scheduled to perform again in California cities such as Sacramento, Anaheim, and Palm Desert in January.

The performances continued following Timberlake’s June DWI arrest in the Hamptons, where it was claimed he disobeyed a stop sign or veered out of his lane after leaving a late dinner. In the end, he admitted guilt to a lesser charge of driving under the influence, resulting in a suspension of his driving license and a community service sentence of 25 hours at a charity organization of his choice in September. He was also instructed to create a public announcement about the risks of impaired driving.

Following his sentencing, “The Social Network” actor revealed plans for extra performances on his 2025 tour, which include stops in three California cities. After wrapping up rescheduled concerts in the Midwest, he intends to extend the tour overseas, visiting South America, Europe, and the UK, with shows scheduled all the way through July 20th, culminating at Lollapalooza Paris where he will be the headlining act.
