Justin Bieber’s Protégée on Brink of Suicide After Shocking Betrayal
19-year-old Madison Beer shared insights on the hardships she faced following her dismissal from her record company.
As a devoted fan, I can empathize with the young artist who bravely shared her personal struggle. She openly admitted that those years were the darkest in her life, pushing her to the brink of despair. Her mental wellbeing suffered significantly, leaving her contemplating taking her own life.
At the tender age of 13, this prolific musician burst onto the scene as her YouTube cover versions caught the eye of Justin Bieber. He subsequently shared a link to one of her performances, which ultimately resulted in her being signed by Island Records.
Later on, Island Records freed her from their label, and in a candid conversation with ELLE magazine, she admitted, “When I initially plunged into dealing with my mental health issues, I found myself at my lowest point.
At around age 19, I suppressed my feelings and continued moving forward without dealing with them properly. Then, suddenly, all those repressed emotions surfaced. I found myself in a state of deep despair and contemplating suicide.
I reached my limit; I’m no longer in that despairing state. At one point, I felt resentful. I found myself thinking, “Look at what you all have taken from me. How could you destroy someone who simply wanted to sing, perform, and live, when I was the one who only wanted to share joy with you?” (Informal)

‘I was honestly spiteful and angry at the world for a while.’
Discussing the impact of Chappell Roan’s speech at this year’s Grammy’s on her, she shared: ‘Seeing her speech, being an artist who was let go when I was 16 years old and had no idea where my life was headed…I moved everything from Long Island to L.A., I didn’t have any friends, I was homeschooled. It was a tough time.’
When I was left behind, it seemed as though the individuals who had once cared for me deeply and expressed their affection by saying, “We are your family, and we cherish you, promising lifelong protection,” appeared indifferent towards my well-being instead.
In retrospect, I lacked the wisdom at the moment to fully comprehend just how problematic that situation truly was. However, when Roan voiced his perspective, it felt like a confirmation of my intuition and understanding.
In August 2019, Madison was identified with Borderline Personality Disorder. During her conversation, she admitted that the impact of fame felt overwhelming, expressing it as, “I don’t believe anyone is truly equipped for this.
Being constantly in the public eye since my early years has unfortunately affected both my mental wellbeing and self-perception. It allows for a heightened awareness of every perceived flaw, leading to excessive self-scrutiny.
Through her own experiences, she has developed a unique perspective on others, as she articulated: ‘Enduring traumatic events that lead to PTSD, BPD, or severe OCD gives you a distinct outlook on people and the world. When such challenging situations occur, particularly in one’s formative years, it alters how we perceive individuals and our surroundings.’

I treat everyone as if they were myself, showing them kindness, understanding, and compassion. It might not always be advantageous, but I cherish this aspect of my character.
At a very young age, Madison often discussed her experience of maturing under public scrutiny, confessing that it seemed to her like she was being judged and treated as an adult, even though she was only 14 years old.
In my pursuit of living authentically, I found myself leaning on the vast wealth of knowledge the internet provides as a compass.
She commented on whether new talents can make it in the industry even without the conventional support from a recording label: “I believe my journey wouldn’t have occurred under the same circumstances of mistreatment.
However, by 2012, the situation had changed significantly. I didn’t have a sense of security, and it seemed as though people were evaluating me in the same way they might evaluate a 14-year-old.
I’m extremely pleased with where I’ve ended up, and if my past self saw me now, she’d think I’m the most awesome girl in the world and would be thrilled to have the chance to grow up and become me someday. That’s really exciting!
