Justin Bieber’s bond with young Australian singer Eddie Benjamin has recently reignited curiosity among fans.

31-year-old singer, known for his hit songs about peaches, is currently enjoying a mountain retreat with a group of male friends. Notably, he has been frequently featuring his friend Eddie, aged 23, in his recent social media posts. This comes after the singer and his wife Hailey celebrated her billion-dollar business deal by putting on an eye-catching display together.

On Monday, Justin posted a series of pictures demonstrating himself singing into a microphone at an improvised recording space, as well as playing some rounds of golf and basketball with a Sydney-based musician.

After Justin posted a series of playful photos of them last week, featuring the popular singer flashing a pair of peace signs and sticking out his tongue as Eddie hugged him, came the images.

As a devoted follower, I took one of my own snapshots and posted it on my account, which boasts 359,000 enthusiastic fans in comparison to Justin’s staggering 249 million. Accompanying the post was a vibrant red love heart emoji.

One fan of the Maniac singer expressed it as unusual, while another noticed their close bond over the past few months, stating that Eddie seems to be his closest companion now, given they rarely part ways. (Or: Another fan remarked on the singer’s friendship with Eddie, describing them as inseparable in recent times.)

Justin is taking a work-vacation with his friends following their joint effort on Eddie’s latest single, titled “MANIAC”.

In April, Justin simultaneously launched his song and an ad for his SKYLRK clothing line, which sparked excitement among his fans.

In 2020, I was fortunate enough to establish a strong friendship with the remarkable artist, Eddie, whom I had crossed paths with through our shared network of friends. Our friendship blossomed due to our shared admiration and appreciation for each other’s musical prowess.

In numerous interviews, Eddie often mentions Justin as his trusted companion and someone he turns to for comfort during challenging moments, referring to him as a reliable source of emotional aid.

In 2022, Eddie opened the Justice world tour for Bieber and also featured in its documentary. 

Lately, he shared insights about composing music together with Justin during an interview on the Zach Sang podcast in May.

2023 saw him being awarded “Breakthrough Musician of the Year” by GQ Australia. After the award ceremony, he was seen exiting hand-in-hand with a fellow renowned artist, Willow Smith.

In his speech after being honored at Bondi Surf Pavilion, Eddie reminisced on a significant milestone: it was where he recorded his very first song as a 13-year-old, coming full circle with this moment.

In my experience, I found our work together quite delightful, to put it mildly. Subsequently, our shared moments at Bronte Beach seemed to echo that warmth and camaraderie.
