Justin Bieber revealed to no longer be following Usher on Instagram amid fan concerns for pop star

Justin Bieber is no longer following his longtime friend and former mentor Usher.

Based on reports from The Sun, it seems that the popular 30-year-old pop star has apparently stopped following Usher on Instagram more recently.

It appears that Justin Bieber has stopped following the 46-year-old artist on Instagram, while it’s been confirmed that Usher continues to follow the younger performer.

In a reported move for his upcoming musical return tour, the artist once known as “The Baby Singer” seems to have stopped following some individuals who were significant figures in his circle during earlier years.

DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives for both Bieber and Usher for comment.

It was observed by fans about a week ago that Justin Bieber had stopped following Usher, which came shortly after some sharp-eyed individuals noticed that he also unfollowed his previous manager, Scooter Braun.

Meanwhile, it was discovered that Braun had temporarily disabled his Instagram account too, a move that likely resulted in his removal from Bieber’s list of followed users.

It was observed by fans that Bieber had stopped following Allison Kaye, his previous manager at SB Projects, and Kenny Hamilton, who had been his bodyguard for a brief period in the late 2000s, on their social media platforms.

Poo Bear, the artist-composer who contributed as a producer for various of Justin’s records, including the latest one from 2021 titled “Justice”, encountered a comparable situation.

Additionally, the creative director of Justin Bieber’s Drew House clothing line, Ryan Good, has also been removed from his list of followers.

In Usher’s earlier days, he served as a mentor to an up-and-coming artist, guiding him in his career growth. This mentorship culminated in Usher appointing him as Justin Bieber’s tour manager during his rise to fame.

Later on, the up-and-coming celebrity playfully remarked that Good served as his style mentor, due to his impact on the former’s growing sense of fashion.

Beyond a mere friendship, Good was more than just a friend; he stood by him as his best man during his wedding to Hailey Bieber.

The recent report about Justin Bieber removing people from his followers’ list on social media follows claims, shared with DailyMail.com by a source, that he was taken aback by the shocking accusations leveled against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

It’s been reported that Bieber finds the news about Diddy difficult to handle, and as a result, he seems to have chosen not to engage with it or talk about it, preferring instead to disconnect.

In a recent update, I’ve learned that numerous individuals who significantly contributed to his growth were exceptionally close to Diddy. This revelation has hit him hard, and I must say, it’s left quite an impact on him. Since the raids on his mansions, Justin seems to be keeping a low profile and maintaining a silent stance about this matter. It appears he won’t be responding anytime soon.

At the start of his professional journey, Justin Bieber gained numerous followers on the internet through his covers of songs by well-known musicians like Usher.

In his 2016 memoir, L.A. Reid revealed that it was the singer from Yeah (Justin Bieber) whom he had presented as a surprise to a music mogul, and it was Usher and Reid who introduced Bieber to Diddy’s circle.

Reid recalled Usher introducing him to Bieber, who was 14 at the time.

He described the rising star as ‘beautiful’ and ‘adorable,’ with an ‘amazing voice.’

Once Reid promptly agreed to manage Bieber right off the bat, Usher carried on guiding him, and later connected him with Diddy, who too took on a mentoring role, much like Usher had done for him in past years.

Reid shared that it was actually Diddy who convinced him against quickly letting go of Bieber, when his voice altered during puberty. This action mirrored what Diddy had done to prevent Reid from dismissing a young Usher, whose voice also changed in the same way.

Ever since rumors swirled about me being involved in sexual misconduct towards several women, I’ve been slapped with some heavy federal charges – sex trafficking and racketeering, to be precise. Yet, let me make it crystal clear, I unequivocally deny each and every one of these accusations and allegations leveled against me.

Towards the end of last year, a confidential informant shared with Us Weekly that Bieber was experiencing significant mental distress due to his difficulty accepting the surprising allegations directed at Diddy.

They commented that he has quite a past connection with Diddy, and the accusations leveled against him have been challenging to comprehend.

After Diddy’s The Love Album: Off The Grid was released in 2023, Bieber took to social media to reminisce about a song he pitched to the artist-turned-executive when he was just 14, which was turned down flatly. Remarkably, Diddy approached him for a collaboration on his latest album years later.

Previously, some fans speculated tension between Usher and Justin Bieber, due to Bieber’s decision not to collaborate with Usher when he declined an invitation to perform together during Usher’s Super Bowl halftime performance in 2024.

According to sources, Bieber declined the show as he now prefers to create music more privately rather than on a grand stage, and his enthusiasm for large-scale performances has waned.

Justin Bieber eased concerns about any potential rift with Usher by cheering him on from a luxury box during the Super Bowl, and later took to social media to commend the main act.
