Just weeks after landing a Coachella headlining performance worth a record $10 million, Justin Bieber unexpectedly announced a change in career direction on Wednesday.
The 31-year-old Grammy-winning singer has officially become a streamer, launching his first livestream on Twitch.
After the singer of ‘Baby’ announced on Instagram that he’d be live-streaming, thousands of his fans rushed to his Twitch channel.
Justin Bieber’s livestream took place on a huge soundstage that included fun features like an indoor basketball court, a golf course, a skateboard half-pipe, and a large pool table.
The large room was lit up by a huge LED screen, and in front of it, there was a collection of musical instruments, along with comfortable couches and tables.
Bieber’s inaugural stream kicked off with him playing a game of basketball with his friends.

The singer moved across the court in a baggy white T-shirt, red sweatpants and sneakers.
The game often slowed down, as Bieber would frequently stop to check his iPhone or talk privately with someone on his team.
After playing for more than 35 minutes, Bieber stopped the game and went over to a pool table, where he started playing against his friends.
Bieber rarely addressed the audience tuning in from home.
After streaming for over an hour, Justin Bieber finally picked up a handheld camera to show his fans around the soundstage.
He often switched the camera to show himself while walking between the pool table and where his team worked to keep the stream running smoothly.
Justin Bieber put the camera down and started skateboarding on the half-pipe.
He closed out the livestream with a competitive game of ping pong.

Bieber took off his shirt, showing off his many tattoos on his arms and chest.
‘I’m gonna cut the stream,’ said Bieber as he exited the frame with his ping pong paddle in hand.
I’ve been a huge Bieber fan for years, following his incredible career as a top singer for over fifteen years now. So, seeing him move into the streaming world is definitely unexpected, but honestly, I’m excited to see what he does with it! It’s cool to see him exploring new things.
Okay, so if you really follow Justin like I do, you’ll have noticed he’s been posting so much more lately! It’s all since little Jack Blues was born last year – he’s one now, can you believe it?! It’s just the sweetest seeing how much of a dad he’s become and how much he shares now.
It’s currently unknown what Justin Bieber has planned for his streaming channel, or how often he’ll be streaming in the future.
He’s starting a Twitch channel just weeks after it was announced he’ll be a headliner at Coachella in 2026.
Sources at Rolling Stone confirmed that Justin Bieber received a paycheck of over $10 million for his performance at the festival – a record-breaking amount.
This deal will make him the highest-paid performer ever at the event, surpassing even Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Kanye West, and The Weeknd.

Most headlining artists use large agencies to arrange their festival appearances, but Bieber handled the negotiations himself, dealing directly with Goldenvoice, the company that runs the festival.
A source close to the singer described this as a major step for a leading artist, accomplished independently. With a successful Coachella headlining set and the popularity of his recent work, ‘Swag,’ it’s clear Justin is entering a new and promising chapter in his career, where he has complete creative control.
Once tickets for the 2026 festival went on sale, both weekends almost immediately sold out.
People close to Justin Bieber say he’s planning a performance that’s much more than just a typical festival show.
According to a source, Justin Bieber is a resilient artist who consistently challenges expectations and maintains his creative control. His upcoming 2026 Coachella performance is expected to be more than just a concert; it’s predicted to be a historic event from a truly iconic pop star.
The announcement of Justin Bieber’s Coachella performance followed quickly after the release of his successful new album, SWAG, which came out in July.
This album signaled a significant return to music for Bieber, who had to stop touring in 2022 after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused him to partially lose control of his facial muscles.
After keeping a relatively low profile for several years, concerns arose in 2024 regarding Justin Bieber’s well-being, stemming from unusual posts on his social media accounts.

Despite the public’s worries, Bieber welcomed his first child, and his marriage to Hailey continued to be the subject of intense attention.
I’ve been following this singer for years, and honestly, I was a little worried when I heard about him hinting at issues with Hailey in his new music. But thankfully, he really emphasized that they’re doing great and their relationship is actually super solid. It’s such a relief to hear that everything is okay between them!
The couple wed back in 2018 just months after rekindling their romance.
Their nuptials also came shortly after Bieber’s split from Selena Gomez, 33.
