Jurassic World Rebirth’s Opening Scene Leaked and It’s Nightmare Fuel!
Audience members should brace themselves for an alarming opening sequence in “Jurassic World Rebirth“, as the composer announcement video might be hinting at upcoming events.
As a die-hard fan, I’m counting down the days until July 2, 2025, when Jurassic World: Rebirth hits theaters! With its place in one of the most beloved franchises in cinema history, it’s no wonder that everyone is buzzing with anticipation about what this new installment will bring (and whether Jurassic World: Rebirth will receive an R rating or not).
As the release date of “Jurassic World Rebirth” approaches, more information is emerging, including its running time. The detailed full-length trailer and announcement of Alexandre Desplat as the composer seem to suggest that a key opening scene might already be known.
Jurassic World Rebirth’s Opening Scene Introduces a New Type of Dino
It was recently confirmed that Alexandre Desplat, renowned for his work in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2,” will be the composer for “Jurassic World Rebirth.” The official Jurassic World YouTube channel commemorated this announcement by uploading a video lasting approximately 56 seconds to the platform. This video featured a cover of Desplat’s score sheet as part of the celebration.
On the cover, the words “Opening-Lab” were written, signifying that the initial setting of “Jurassic World Rebirth” will be inside a laboratory and that the opening scene viewers encounter when the movie begins is a cold open.
In the unveiled trailer for “Jurassic World Rebirth,” which can also be found on YouTube, a brief scene in a laboratory at approximately 1 minute and 51 seconds showcases the D-Rex, a fearsome dinosaur mutation that is undeniably the scariest creature to have graced the franchise.
It’s plausible that the revelation about the composer gave away that the initial scene will mirror the sequence presented in the trailer. If, indeed, the D-Rex serves as one of the primary antagonist dinosaurs in “Jurassic World Rebirth”, it would logically fit for a suspenseful or scary scene to kick off the movie, demonstrating the D-Rex’s might.
If that were to be the opening scene, it would undoubtedly start the film off on a terrifying note.
Will Jurassic World Rebirth’s Opening Scene Be the D-Rex Lab Sequence?
In the spirit of a passionate moviegoer, I’d say: Experiencing the terrifying power of the D-Rex at the start of Jurassic World Rebirth could really set the stage for the entire film, making the D-Rex feel like an unstoppable force that we’ll have to confront throughout.
In many cases, cold opens are employed in projects to plunge the audience straight into the action and captivate viewers. If the D-Rex lab scene from the trailer lives up to its intensity and fear factor as depicted in the actual footage, it’s challenging to envision a more compelling cold open than that one.
There might be an alternative laboratory setting where the movie starts instead. It’s conceivable that the D-Rex, the dinosaur in question, is not initially shown and could make its appearance later in the film.
If we go with this scenario, a new opening sequence might unfold instead, but don’t mistake that for a decrease in intensity or fear factor. In fact, using an expository lab scene as our opening could potentially make the film seem unbalanced, possibly failing to capture viewers from the get-go.
Although the initial scene might not include the D-Rex sequence as shown in the trailer, it’s expected to be a thrilling segment displaying a dinosaur in a lab environment. Keep in mind that the D-Rex isn’t the only terrifying dinosaur featured in Jurassic World Rebirth.
