
Okay, so as a huge Dwayne Johnson fan, I was a little bummed when The Smashing Machine – a really solid sports biopic, honestly – didn’t quite catch on with audiences. But good news! It looks like The Rock is heading back to a franchise where he really shines, which is awesome.
The Jumanji movies made a comeback in 2017 with a sequel to the original 1995 film. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle kept the same basic concept but updated it – the game was now a video game instead of a board game – and starred a new group of actors. The movie did well, leading to another sequel, Jumanji: The Next Level, in 2019. Now, six years later, producer Hiram Garcia announced on Instagram that Jumanji 4 is officially being made.
