Julie Goodwin is showered in praise after she FINALLY hits the floor on Dancing with the Stars following shock injury: ‘A joy to watch’
As a huge fan of Julie Goodwin, I was absolutely blown away by her courageous performance on Dancing with the Stars this past weekend. The 53-year-old MasterChef winner’s rendition of the Viennese Waltz alongside dance partner Andrey Gorbunov left me in awe. Her determination and grace under pressure were truly inspiring, especially considering she had torn her calf muscle in two places just weeks prior during rehearsals.
Julie Goodwin has beaten a devastating injury to compete in Dancing with the Stars.
On last Sunday’s episode, the 53-year-old victor of MasterChef left spectators in awe with an impressive performance of the Viennese Waltz.
Alongside dance partner Andrey Gorbunov, she earned the judges’ admiration with a remarkable score of 27 points.
Julie’s victorious performance on DWTS follows her overcoming a setback, as she sustained tears in both her calf muscles during rehearsals for the dance contest.
In emotional scenes Julie’s performance won a standing ovation from the studio audience.
After finishing their beautiful waltz, Julie, visibly relaxed, embraced Andrey tightly for an extended moment.
Fans were quick to congratulate the reality star after beating her painful injury.
‘Such a brilliant moment after so many setbacks,’ raved one viewer.

Another fan gushed: ‘The joy on Julie’s face completes the elegance of the dance.’
Another onlooker remarked with delight, “Your dancing was breathtakingly beautiful. The grace and assurance with which you moved were a pure pleasure to behold.”
After Julie confessed that she was deeply saddened and heartbroken when doctors informed her that her injury might prevent her from participating in DWTS.
She shared with Woman’s Day earlier this month, “I was in extreme agony when it occurred, drenched in sweat. This pain was unlike any I could describe to others as ‘I’m fine.’ In truth, I wasn’t even close to being okay.”
‘I had to be carried out of the studio, because I couldn’t even put my foot down on the floor.’
Julie was told she by doctors that the injury was ‘very, very serious’.

When the doctor gave me that disappointing news, I couldn’t help but feel like all hope was lost. I was left feeling devastated.
The TV chef set aside all distractions and dedicated herself to being in top shape for the program.
She expressed her determination, saying, “I don’t yield so quickly… I’m tenacious. Doctors may share their opinions with me, but I’ll consider their advice and attempt to disprove their diagnoses.”

During the first episode of Dancing With The Stars, the painful injury Julie suffered was revealed. In the studio, the chef made an appearance to talk about the accident that had occurred.
In the video, Julie let out a piercing scream of agony as her limp body collapsed during a dance performance. Subsequently, she was depicted receiving devastating information at the hospital.
Doctors recommended resting your calf to help ensure you can start dancing again as soon as possible.
In the face of a disappointment, Julie maintained her positivity, assuring co-hosts Sonia Kruger and Dr Chris Brown, “Things will be okay. We’ll be just fine. Let’s add some sparkle to those moon-boots and move on.”
Four-time Gold Logie winner Lisa McCune, fashion designer Nadia Bartel, and singer Samantha Jade have been announced as partners for Julie in the 2024 season of Dancing With the Stars.
At SAS Australia, Ant Middleton, ex-AFL players Shane Crawford and Ben Cousins, as well as the Olympic athlete and former senator Nova Peris, have been showing off their dancing skills.
As an obsessed fan, I can’t contain my excitement as I share the news about this year’s amazing lineup of contestants! Joining the ranks are the hilarious comedian Nikki Osborne, the captivating James Stewart from Home and Away, the charming Adam Dovile who brightens our days on Better Homes and Gardens, and last but not least, the talented chef Hayden Quinn. Can’t wait to see what they bring to the table!
