The reason behind the demise of Australian actor Julian McMahon, famously known for portraying Dr. Doom in two “Fantastic Four” films and Christian Troy in the series “Nip/Tuck”, has been disclosed.
McMahon died of cancer, according to a statement from Kelly McMahon, his wife.
The individual had advanced cancer that spread to his head and neck, but ultimately lost his life due to lung metastasis, as reported by CNN. They obtained this information from a summary report about cremation approval from the medical examiner’s office in Pinellas County, Florida. An investigator from the office refused to discuss the details of the report when contacted by The Times after hours.
McMahon died July 2 at age 56. His remains have been cremated, the medical examiner’s report said.
According to Kelly McMahon, Julian had a profound affection for life. He cherished his family, his circle of friends, his profession, and his admirers. His most heartfelt aspiration was to spread happiness in countless lives.
A representative for the actor could not immediately be reached.

Alyssa Milano shared stories from her time working with McMahon on the show “Charmed.” Their characters, Phoebe Halliwell and Cole Turner, got married in the ’90s fantasy TV series.
In my social media posts, I expressed that Julian wasn’t just my on-screen spouse, he was a cherished friend. He was the type of companion who reached out, remembered significant moments, and shared his life with me. He was also the one who told it to me straight, even when it wasn’t easy – but always from the heart.
McMahon boasted a variety of roles listed on his resume. A spectator once remarked in a comment on X, stating that regardless of the role he took on, his acting was always spellbinding.
