Julian McMahon’s former Charmed co-star Alyssa Milano pays tribute to her ‘dear friend’ after his death at 56
Alyssa Milano recently honored the memory of her dear friend and former co-star on “Charmed”, Julian McMahon, who passed away at the age of 56.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, let me share some trivia from my favorite series, Charmed. You might recognize Alyssa Milano and Benedict Zobrist – they portrayed Phoebe Halliwell and Cole Turner respectively. Interestingly enough, their characters had a brief on-screen marriage within the show’s narrative.
Now Milano, 52, is remembering her former co-star following his death this week.
In a poignant gesture, a sorrowful Milano posted photographs of them, featuring moments captured during their acting as romantic partners on the series Charmed.
She called his death ‘too soon’ and ‘unfair’ as she sent her condolences to his family.
In my own words, I’m utterly crushed… Julian McMahon, indeed, was mesmerizing. His smile, his laughter, his acting prowess, and his captivating aura were more than just charm; they embodied compassion, playfulness, and an intuitive soulfulness. Whenever he entered a room, it wasn’t merely charisma that illuminated the space, but a warmth that touched hearts and stirred spirits.
Over the course of numerous years, we shared the set on Charmed – years filled with scenes, narratives, and countless moments in between. He provided me a sense of security as an actor and as a woman. He provoked me, playfully bantered with me, bolstered me. Despite our differences, there was always this uncanny ability for us to comprehend one another.
Beyond merely playing my TV spouse, Julian was a cherished friend. The type who takes the time to reach out, the one who holds memories dear, the one who generously gives, and the one who speaks honestly, even when it’s tough – all done out of genuine affection.
As a devoted admirer, I find my emotions intertwined with Kelly, Madison, and Iliana – the trio that formed his universe. His affection for them radiated in each exchange, anecdote, and message. Beyond being merely a family man, he expressed love profoundly, and it was palpable in every interaction.
It’s hard to accept that he’s gone. It’s happening too quickly, it seems so unfair. Rest in peace, dear friend. I will keep the sound of your laughter with me forever. Always Cole, always Julian.
In a deeply emotional announcement made on Friday, I sadly share that my beloved McMahon left us at the age of 56 after a hidden struggle against cancer.

Julian cherished every moment of existence, held dear his family, valued his friends immensely, took pride in his profession, and admired his followers greatly. His most heartfelt aspiration was to infuse happiness into numerous souls.
In this difficult period, we kindly request space and privacy so that our family can mourn. At the same time, we hope that everyone who found happiness with Julian will continue to experience joy. We are thankful for the precious memories, as expressed in her statement, which was shared by Deadline.
