Julian McMahon, famous for his roles in Nip/Tuck and FBI: Most Wanted, sadly lost his life at the age of 56 following a personal struggle with his health.
The 56-year-old actor had secretly battled cancer as his wife Kelly confirmed the news.
On Friday, she shared a touching message with Deadline: ‘From the depths of my heart, I want to tell everyone that my dear husband, Julian McMahon, passed away peacefully this week following his brave battle against cancer.’
Julian cherished every moment of life. He held a deep affection for his family, friends, and colleagues. He took great pleasure in his work, and adored the support he received from his fans. At the core of his being, he aspired to spread happiness far and wide.
Let’s request understanding and space as we privately mourn at this moment. We hope that everyone who knew Julian continues to find happiness in their lives. We appreciate the memories shared with him.
McMahon was best known for his role as Dr. Christian Troy on the FX series Nip/Tuck.
In the medical drama that aired from 2003 to 2010, he acted with Dylan Walsh, who played Sean McNamara, a character known for being over-the-top.
In 2020, he began playing the role of Jess LaCroix on the CBS series FBI: Most Wanted, continuing until March 2022 when he unexpectedly left after completing three seasons.
