At Sunday’s Golden Globes, Julia Roberts playfully joked with Emma Stone after receiving a standing ovation, saying she’d be ‘unbearably difficult’ for about a week.
Although Julia, 58, didn’t place in the competition, she captivated the audience and received a lot of enthusiastic support.
She received a Best Actress nomination for her performance in After the Hunt, but Jessie Buckley, who starred in Hamnet, ultimately won the award.
When Julia presented the award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, the audience gave her a standing ovation.
‘Thank you,’ she said – then pushed. ‘Everybody! Let’s go! In the back!’
She playfully predicted she’d be difficult to deal with for a few days, then happily declared, ‘What a wonderful night for an artist!’

Julia jokingly asked Emma Stone to join the applause, playfully imitating her supposed reaction with, ‘What’s happening?’
Julia then gave the award to Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another.
George Clooney, a close friend, presented the award for Best Motion Picture – Drama. Don Cheadle jokingly teased Clooney about not receiving a standing ovation himself.
Another sweet moment saw Jessie fangirling over Julia after winning her award.
She expressed her excitement and admiration for the other women nominated alongside her, saying, “Wow, I’m so honored to be with such incredible women! Julia Roberts, you’re a true inspiration to all of us.”
Julia looked incredible on the night wearing a plunging black dress complete with a red necklace.
She walked the red carpet with her husband of 20 years, Danny Moder.
Okay, I’m officially losing it! Timothée Chalamet won the Golden Globe! I knew he would, honestly. Everyone was talking about DiCaprio and his new movie, ‘One Battle After Another,’ but Timothée just blew him out of the water. He took home Best Actor for ‘Marty Supreme’ – directed by the amazing Josh Safdie, by the way – and now everyone’s predicting he’s going to win the Oscar! It’s happening, you guys, it’s finally happening! I’m so proud I could scream!

Leading up to awards season, 51-year-old Leonardo DiCaprio was expected to win, but now Timothée Chalamet is the clear frontrunner for Best Actor at the upcoming Academy Awards, according to predictions from Kalshi, a regulated forecasting market.
Despite stiff competition, Leonardo DiCaprio’s film, One Battle After Another, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, won Best Picture – Comedy or Musical at an awards show held Sunday night at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. It beat out Timothée Chalamet’s film, as well as Blue Moon, Bugonia, No Other Choice, and Nouvelle Vague to claim the prize.
One Battle After Another took home the most awards at the ceremony with four wins. However, it’s expected to face strong competition from Chloe Zhao’s Hamnet, which won the final award of the night – Best Picture in the Drama category – beating out films like Frankenstein, It Was Just An Accident, The Secret Agent, Sentimental Value, and Sinners.
Three television shows took home awards: The Pitt won for drama, The Studio for comedy or musical series, and Adolescence for limited series. The Pitt was created by R Scott Gemmill, The Studio by Evan Goldberg, Alex Gregory, and Peter Huyck, and Adolescence by Stephen Graham and Jack Thorne.
Thirty-year-old Timothée Chalamet caused quite a stir when he didn’t mention his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, while accepting his award for Marty Supreme.
