Julia Roberts posts rare photo of son Henry to celebrate his 18th birthday

On Wednesday, Julia Roberts posted a special Instagram message along with a seldom-seen image of her son Henry, who recently turned 18 years old.

Actress from Pretty Woman, aged 57, who recently reconnected with the writer of Notting Hill (26 years after their movie became a favorite), shared an old photo of the younger person to celebrate this significant occasion.

In the photo, Henry was spotted donning a green pullover when he was still young, accompanied by a touching message from his renowned mom.

‘With the flash of an ecstatic gaze, the radiant young lad reached his 18th milestone. “⚡️ 18 ⚡️ I adore you, Henry,” Roberts penned, accompanied by the hashtags “#Golden Boy” and “#Golden Birthday.”‘

The Oscar-winning individual also has two adult children, Henry, along with twins Hazel and Phinnaeus (both aged 20), with her husband Daniel Moder, whom she married in 2002.

Comments in the post were limited, but some celebrities joined in on the birthday wishes. 

Jennifer Aniston expressed, “Happy Birthday, dear Henry!”, while Tom Hanks’ wife, Rita Wilson, exclaimed, “Henry!!! Happy Birthday!!!”. Both messages convey warm birthday wishes in their unique styles.

Julia’s three kids have made rare appearances on her social media accounts over the years. 

In the month of May last, the star had a cherished photo opportunity with her kids, marking the occasion of Mother’s Day.

He posted the picture on his personal Instagram account, labeling it: ‘Moms are the most awesome creators. I adore these two.’

A while back, around April, Henry made a quick appearance in the limelight when he accompanied his mother to catch a Broadway performance in New York City.

The duo supported their dear friend, George Clooney, during the staging of “Good Night And Good Luck” at the Winter Garden Theatre.

In simple terms, both Robert (the mother) and her son arrived at the venue, with Robert (the actress) even greeting fans who had gathered outside.

During an interview with Today in 2023, Julia opened up about her children now that they are older.

I treat them the same outside as I did inside, by asking questions like, “Are you getting enough rest?

“It seems you might be under the weather,” followed by “Do you drink tea?”, and “Please text me once you get home safely so I know you’ve arrived okay.

The star remarked, “I deeply cherish my two older children as they let me continue being the same mother to them, without any heavy sighing or rolling of eyes. There is a remarkable level of comprehension between us.

Last year, during an interview with British Vogue, Julia occasionally mentioned her spouse, Daniel, in her remarks.

In relation to the subject of her radiant, timeless appearance, the actress specifically acknowledged Moder as a key factor.

‘I value good genetics, living a satisfying life, and I occasionally make a humorous comment about it – though I mean it playfully. However, I genuinely hold the belief that there is something to be said for the influence of a kind, considerate partner.’

He was particularly known for penning the script for the 1999 movie “Notting Hill,” a production where Hugh Grant, Rhys Ifans, Hugh Bonneville, and Emma Chambers all graced the screen.

The movie, directed by Roger Michell, earned an impressive $363.8 million at the box office, with a production budget of just $42 million.

Curtis is recognized for penning other timeless films such as Four Weddings and a Funeral, Bridget Jones’s Diary, and About Time.

Over the past weekend, Roberts was spotted visiting Soccer Aid at Old Trafford during her stay in the U.K. as well.

She donned attire suitable for the event, sporting a simple black shirt, black trousers, and a red blazer adorned with soccer ball patterns.
