Julia Garner channeled Madonna’s look from the early 1990s in a recent photoshoot for CR Fashion Book magazine.
The 31-year-old actress channeled the iconic style of the 67-year-old singer in a photoshoot. She wore a small black Gucci bra with matching hot pants, tights, and heels, all from the designer brand.
She had short, bleached-blonde hair styled in soft, curly pieces, and posed playfully for photos taken by Erika Kamano.
This news follows Julia’s recent confirmation that the Madonna biopic is still in development, despite several delays in getting it made.
I’m so excited about what she’s working on! She didn’t reveal much in her recent interview with W Magazine, but she did confirm it’s definitely happening – it’s a project she’s actively developing right now.

Madonna has been persistent in her years-long effort to make a movie about her life.
I was so excited to hear she was working on a biopic in 2023 called ‘Who’s That Girl!’ It’s a really clever title, referencing her iconic 1987 movie and song of the same name. It feels like a full-circle moment for her career, and I can’t wait to see it!
The movie originally began as a project with Diablo Cody co-writing the script, at the time known as Little Sparrow.
However, the hitmaker pivoted her focus to zero in on her international Celebration tour.
In 2024, the writer, originally from Michigan, collaborated with Erin Cressida Wilson to write the majority of the screenplay and immediately thought of Jennifer Garner for the lead role.
I remember last November when she took to social media to share how frustrated she was with the challenges she was facing getting her film made. It was clear she was really passionate about it and just wanted to see her vision come to life, but things kept getting in the way.
After facing days of difficulty in Los Angeles, and hearing producers and agents explain why my film wouldn’t work, I came to the realization that I’ll always face obstacles in life.
The famous performer explained she’d been developing the project for four years, but many people told her to make it less ambitious and simplify it.
The caption went on to say that things weren’t easy, but she was trying to stay positive. She explained that it pushed her to be creative and find unconventional solutions, because her life hadn’t been typical, and she couldn’t approach this challenge using standard methods.

In a recent interview with CR Fashion Book, actress Weapons spoke about her childhood dreams of becoming an actress.
She remembered being surrounded by art and culture as a child, often going to movies and museums. She felt that both art and thinking deeply about life were really important to her.
And the entertainer admitted becoming a performer felt distant from her daily life.
She explained that while she understood movies and actors were real, she had no idea how people actually broke into the film industry. It all seemed like a completely different world from her own life.
I used to go to concerts and always wonder how the performers ended up on stage. I’d feel this urge to join them, to be up there myself, but I honestly didn’t understand *how* anyone actually made that happen. It just seemed like a different world.
‘I was really shy. I started [acting] because my sister did it, but she was not shy at all. I don’t know what a 14-year-old feels like, why they want to do it initially,’ she mused.
Julia explained that she did it because it felt good internally, not for teenage validation. In fact, she wasn’t comfortable with attention and found that acting allowed her to hide, strangely enough, because it wasn’t truly her being herself.
