Jules Robinson gives birth! MAFS star welcomes her second child with her husband Cameron Merchant and reveals poignant meaning behind the baby boy’s name
I have always been in awe of Jules’ resilience and strength. Her experience with PMDD before welcoming her first child Oliver three years ago was truly challenging, but she managed to find the silver lining in her pregnancy. The fact that she no longer suffers from PMDD is a blessing, yet she remains cautious about its possible return after giving birth.

In 2019, the happily married couple from Married At First Sight, who have been thriving since the show’s premiere, announced their joyous news on Instagram on a Thursday.
Jules, a hairstylist at the age of 42, and Cam, a cricket player also 40 years old, announced the arrival of their newborn son on July 23, 2021.
I, as a devoted fan, was thrilled when Jules shared that they named their newborn son Carter James. In a heartfelt post, they explained the significance behind this lovely name.
The proud mother explained that the name Carter carries deep meaning, symbolizing leadership, wisdom, accountability, and innovation. It reflects the concepts of service, values, and communal spirit.
I frequently come across individuals who bear this label being perceived as hardworking, dedicated individuals. They’re known for their loyalty and discipline, prioritizing security and cherishing strong bonds with loved ones.
Jules shared the heartfelt meanings behind choosing “James” as their baby boy’s middle name. This name signifies “gift from God,” a meaning it shares with Cam’s middle name.
The name of the moniker holds significance for Cam as it is also her grandmother’s name, shares the middle name with her father, and serves as a memorial to her father’s dearest old friend, James Cleland, who tragically passed away.

She excitedly shared the news of her newborn son: “Introducing Carter James Merchant – flawlessly made and in perfect health! A beautiful boy, born on July 23rd.”

Prior to the arrival of her second baby, Jules openly shared her concerns about her PMDD symptoms resurfacing post-pregnancy.
In October, the entrepreneur shared her past struggles with PMDD for the first time. She had experienced this condition three years prior to the birth of her son, Oliver.
In an exclusive conversation with Daily Mail Australia, I shared that my PMDD symptoms have disappeared since I became pregnant this year. However, I’m concerned that they might reappear once I deliver the baby.
As a devoted follower, I’d describe PMDD as a powerful and at times incapacitating type of premenstrual condition. It’s marked by intense emotional shifts that can seriously interfere with my day-to-day activities and put a significant strain on my relationships.
The reality star, who has just published her first book Ask Jules, shared that she no longer experiences PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) during pregnancy, which has turned out to be a positive aspect and a source of relief for her.
Jules acknowledged her worry that her premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) may resurface after having a baby, yet she stays hopeful for a better experience this time.
She expressed her apprehension with a casual, “That situation is a time bomb waiting to explode. But I reassure myself by focusing on the extensive knowledge I’ve gained through my education.”
Before going into labor, Jules kept the gender of her baby a secret from everyone, including Cam. They chose to keep this information hidden until after the birth.
Previously, she had shared with everyone that they believed she was going to have a baby girl based on their assumptions.
Before giving birth just a few weeks from now, she playfully shared on Instagram: “Everyone insists it’s a girl I’m having!”
“We’ve chosen two ideal names for the tiny bundle of cuteness that’s coming our way, and we’re fond of them already.”
In the beginning of June, Jules had a surprising baby shower prepared for her by her friends, prior to the arrival of her second child.
The party was extravagant with its high-end elements, yet it featured some provocative games among the enjoyable activities.
Jules posted Instagram updates with images and clips from the events. One clip featured her wearing a blindfold while identifying a diaper’s contents by smell, which was brown.
In an amusing turn of events, she was challenged to figure out the identity of a hidden item, which proved to be nothing other than chocolate.
Jules participated in an intriguing game named “Work or Love,” during which participants tried to determine whether images of women’s faces depicted them involved in adult film scenes or giving birth.
Once the laughing friends had finished their tasks, they presented Jules with an exquisitely green-iced cake.
I eagerly helped transform the space into a charming setting, filling it with an array of flowers in various hues, not just limiting myself to the pristine whites, greens, and creams. Balloons, too, graced the room, their roundness adding to the cheerful ambiance in white, green, and cream shades. And to top it all off, a delightful ‘baby’ sign was constructed from colorful blocks.
Approaching her due date in just a few weeks, Jules opened up to Daily Mail Australia about her upcoming third child, sharing her plans with honesty.
Jules expressed her excitement, saying, “Perhaps we’ll be blessed with another child soon. After all, where there’s a desire, there’s usually a solution.”
Regardless of what shape it takes, we’ll bring it to fruition. I made that statement a few years back, before having my second child.

Jules maintained her optimism even after decades-long struggle to conceive, and came to understand the value of self-care in the journey.

During the sixth season of MAFS in 2019, Jules and Cameron developed feelings for each other on camera. They later tied the knot in a genuine wedding ceremony in November of that same year.
