Jules Neale seems to be leaning on friends for support as she goes through her public divorce from Australian Rules Football player Lachie Neale.
The 35-year-old, previously known for her relationship with a famous athlete, looked happy Friday night while dining with Andrew Brayshaw, a former teammate of her partner’s from the Fremantle Dockers, and his wife.
Andrew, 26, shared photos on Instagram of the event, recalling when he lived with Lachie and Jules during his rookie year with the Dockers in 2018.
Okay, so I was obsessed with finding any trace of him, and I finally found a picture! It wasn’t of him, sadly – you can’t actually see him in it – but it was of Jules, looking absolutely thrilled, at a restaurant in Perth. He was there with Andrew’s wife, Lizzy, and another friend, and honestly, just knowing they were all together… it was everything! I’ve probably zoomed in on that picture a thousand times.
The three friends seemed genuinely happy to be together, sharing a laugh and enjoying glasses of white wine as Andrew took their picture.
Jules seems to be doing well after her breakup with Lachie, 32, and has been hinting at issues with both him and her former close friend, Tess Crosley, on social media.
On Wednesday, she shared a quick video on TikTok of herself enjoying a glass of white wine while sitting at an outdoor restaurant.
Okay, so the whole thing was set to Olivia Dean’s ‘Lady Lady’, and honestly, that song just gets me. But the part that really hit different? It’s this line – ‘That lady, lady, she’s the man.’ Seriously, it’s stuck in my head now, and it’s just… perfect.
Jules ended the video with a playful wink and added a caption that subtly criticized her ex-husband.
Jules shared a comment seemingly from a conversation about the breakup, writing, ‘I don’t understand how they could do that.’
Signalling that she has moved on from the drama, Jules added: ‘Exactly, what a blessing not to.’
Jules showed off her impressive physique in some revealing bikini photos on Monday night, coinciding with her signing with a new talent agency in Perth.
Jules looked thrilled in a mirror selfie, wearing a cute baby blue and black polka dot outfit.
She also wore a brown cowboy hat, which some believe was a nod to a similar hat her former friend, Tess, recently wore in an Instagram post during the current controversy.
Jules is starting a new life in Perth, but she’s still dealing with the aftermath of her husband Lachie’s affair with her old friend Tess.
Lachie resigned as co-captain of the Brisbane Lions after his marriage ended publicly.
He expressed his regret for disappointing his family and causing them pain, offering a sincere apology during a press conference.
After their split, Jules has gone back to Western Australia with their children, Piper, age four, and Freddie, one. Lachie has moved into a new apartment in Brisbane.
The couple is selling their former home in Seven Hills, which they once thought they would live in forever. The property is listed for $2.43 million.
News of the separation started circulating in late December after reports suggested the couple was having marriage problems. Jules immediately denied these reports, stating she had experienced a deeply hurtful betrayal.
The situation became more complicated when focus shifted to her close friend, Tess – a former Mormon missionary – who is believed to be a key reason for the marriage failing.
