To triumph with Brawl Stars’ Juju and celebrate numerous victories, familiarize yourself with her elemental abilities, understand how her Super is utilized, and discover the optimal builds for her. All this information and more can be found in this guide.
How to unlock Juju in Brawl Stars
Starting September 30th, I’ll be able to get my hands on a fresh new brawler if I’m willing to spend some cash (early access). If I prefer saving up my in-game currencies, I can grab the same brawler from the Starr Road starting November 7th.
If you are ready to pay for Juju $19.99 and play her earlier, you can get her with quite a package.
- Juju
- Six pins that express various emotions with Juju’s face
- 4,200 Coins
- The skins Unlucky Juju
Unlock Brawl Stars Juju for free
There are generally two ways to unlock Juju with in-game currencies, and both have free variants.
Juju for Brawl Stars Credits
- As a Mythic brawler, Juju costs 1,900 Credits.
In Brawl Stars, the in-game currency called Credits is obtained as a reward when you play and win matches. As you accumulate trophies, these unlock different levels of the Trophy Road. Credits are given out at certain levels on this road. For instance, if you have 3,000 trophies in your account, you can earn 925 Credits, while with 3,700 trophies, you can obtain 450 Credits.
Credits can be earned by leveling-up your brawlers. Just play with one from your roster, and you will get rewards and your skills will get better.
1,900 Credits isn’t a trivial amount, yet it’s not an overwhelming sum either. If you frequently play Brawl Stars, earning this amount should be achievable. However, to acquire Juju, you must navigate the Starr Road and accumulate enough credits there. This system allows players to unlock characters using Credits.
The game allows you to decide which character you’d like to unlock next. If a Mythic brawler is waiting in line for you, there might be an opportunity for you to swap to Juju instead. However, the path to Starr Road can be quite lengthy, particularly for newcomers. Juju is situated at the end of this journey, following Brawl Stars Moe.
JuJu for Brawl Stars Gems
- You may decide to unlock Juju for 349 Gems.
you can get 360 Gems for $23.99 or opt for a larger deal of 2,000 Gems at a cost of $119.99 (the most substantial offer).
There is no direct way to get Gems for free. But, this currency is a reward on some tiers of Brawl Pass Premium. So, if you pay for the Pass (for example, you are aiming for a nice seasonal skin), you will end up having 100 Gems from Premium and free tiers and 150 if you add Premium Plus tiers.
If you’ve already purchased the SpongeBob Halloween Brawl Pass and intend to join the Angels vs Demons season, you’ll be able to obtain Juju character without spending any additional gems, as it will be included in your free tier rewards. However, keep in mind that if you wish to unlock more rewards at an accelerated pace, you’ll need to invest some extra time to earn the necessary 349 Gems.
On the Starr Road, gems can serve as extra currency, enabling you to access a new Brawl Stars character more swiftly in the process.
How to play Brawl Stars Juju: Guide
Juju stands out as a unique personality, blending traits from various fighters while also incorporating strategic planning based on specific situations.
Basic Attack
- Juju’s Basic Attack is throwing a doll as an Artillery projectile.
Juju shares characteristics with other Artillery-type brawlers, like Barley, but there’s a twist: his projectiles aren’t like others. They don’t create harmful puddles or scatter debris when they hit. Instead, Juju’s Basic Attack changes depending on where he is positioned.
- Shooting from the ground means boosting damage.
- When Juju uses her projectile from the grass, the dolls reach farther.
- Attacking from water adds a slowing effect for victims.
Yes, it’s true: thanks to her Trait, Juju can walk on water.
Super
- With her Super, From The Other Side, Brawl Stars Juju summons a voodoo doll Gris-Gris. It attacks the nearest opponents independently.
In the game, there are other abilities similar to those of Supers like Nita’s, which allows her to summon a bear. However, Gris-Gris’ Super has a wider coverage area and complements the standard projectiles well, providing additional flexibility to Juju’s toolkit in Brawl Stars.
The best build for Juju in Brawl Stars
The exact build for Juju depends on your personal style in Brawl Stars. In this section, we have some general ideas, based on the features of this brawler. This build is pretty much universal, but feel free to adjust it if you feel like other choices will be better for you.
- Star Power Numbing Needles — the attacks of Gris-Gris (the Super doll) slows the victims down.
Having this option is essential because Juju needs some space to inflict harm on opponents with her basic attacks. The alternate Star Power choice is Guarded Gris-Gris, which serves as a protective barrier for the Super doll. It can also increase damage, but prioritizing Juju’s protection is most important.
- Gadget Elementalist — on activation, Juju gets a 3-second buff. It can be damage reduction (if Juju stands on the ground), invisibility (if Juju is in the grass), or higher movement speed (if she is on water).
To effectively utilize this device, it’s crucial to think ahead about the situation, yet with strategic application, these enhancements can significantly benefit Juju in Brawl Stars battles. Alternatively, there’s the Voodoo Chile gadget, which grants all three elemental attributes to your next Basic Attack. This option might be more straightforward and could suit your playstyle better.
- Gears: Speed, as it’s important for Juju to not let opponents come too close; and Shield, which will protect Juju in close-range fights to let her move away and use her projectiles.
Game modes for Juju
In Brawl Stars, Juju performs exceptionally well when paired closely with a teammate, making her adaptable to any game mode. Her voodoo doll Super significantly boosts her effectiveness, even in single-player modes and solo queues. However, mastering Juju requires a high level of skill with the character.
- Showdown — Juju is great for Duo (and Trio of time-limited events). Check bushes with her projectiles and deal good damage with her Super. She may struggle in Solo, though.
- Grab Gem and Heist — These are very good modes for Juju, where she can shine with her versatile kit. The brawler has tools for defensive and offensive actions.
- Knockout and Bounty — Juju is very effective within a team. These also are good modes for her.
- Brawl Ball — She can clear the way for a teammate with the ball or protect the goal from a safe distance.
- Hot Zone — Artillery brawlers are generally good for this mode, as you can destroy opponents without coming too close. But Juju may struggle capturing the zone herself, as it may be difficult for her to stop quick opponents approaching from different directions.
General tips for Juju in Brawl Stars
With a diverse skill set, it’s clear that the latest Brawl Stars character, Juju, really shines in her long-range attacks. To maximize her potential, maintain some distance from your adversaries and deploy her Super voodoo doll to divert their attention. Then, capitalize on the opportunity by moving in for a close-quarter attack.
Mastering Juju’s playstyle demands patience and focus. She isn’t as intuitive as some other brawlers, but excels when you take into account the surrounding environment and its impact on your projectiles. Regularly playing Brawl Stars will provide you with insights about which bonuses work best for varying game modes and scenarios.
In your strategy, partner up with characters who are close by, since this makes Juju an excellent hand-to-hand fighter. Also, take advantage of walls and water to dodge enemy attacks, ensuring they keep their distance from Juju.
