A Star Wars actor may hold more mysteries than anyone else, with Jude Law being no different in this regard. Until Lucasfilm officially clarifies whether Law and the young actors from Skeleton Crew will reappear, he must tactfully dodge questions about his potential future roles.
In a recent chat with ScreenRant for his forthcoming movie ‘Eden’, Law hinted at the possibility of continuing his character Jod Na Nawood’s tale, expressing that there is a viable escape route to keep his narrative going.
The actor was asked if there were any updates from Lucasfilm about a potential return for him and the Skeleton Crew cast, to which he replied: “Given the complexity of the whole project, it’s understandable that many pieces are in motion. All I can confirm is that we had an absolutely fantastic experience creating it. It was filled with elegance, enthusiasm, camaraderie, and teamwork. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and at times, I even felt like I was living out my own childhood dreams of being part of the Star Wars universe.
In simpler terms, the Law character in the Star Wars universe did not address whether he knows what’s coming next. However, his remark about “moving parts to that colossus” implies that his return may be contingent upon how future projects develop. The Star Wars universe is vast and interconnected, so one story can influence another. Given that “Skeleton Crew” takes place during the New Republic/Mandalorian era, it’s possible that characters from this series, including Jod Na Nawood and the kids, will appear in future stories. This could happen as a result of what transpires in “Ahsoka” Season 2, “The Mandalorian and Grogu,” and other upcoming series set within the Mandoverse.
The ending of “Skeleton Crew” hints at a potential second season, delighting both viewers and critics alike. Many fans are eager to catch up on what has transpired with characters like Wim, Neel, KB, and Fern since the conclusion of the first season. Furthermore, there is curiosity among them about whether Jod, who wasn’t redeemed in the series, might feel regret for his actions towards these characters, which could make for an intriguing narrative if explored in a future storyline.
A compelling prospective plotline revolves around the fate of the secluded planet, Attin, in the New Republic era. The question arises as to whether its hidden riches might fall into unwanted hands. With the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn, the future remains uncertain, particularly for a force-sensitive individual like Jod Na Nawood and a world like Attin, which has been detached from the galaxy for such an extended period.
It’s likely that Jude Law himself doesn’t know whether his character will appear again in the future, as he needs to hear official confirmation from Lucasfilm first.
Skeleton Crew is streaming on Disney+.
