Josie Gibson storms out of studio live on air amid Christmas prank
As a seasoned viewer of reality TV and daytime talk shows, I’ve seen my fair share of dramatic moments. But the scene that unfolded on Capital Breakfast this Monday takes the cake! I was glued to my screen as Josie Gibson stormed out of the studio in a fit of righteous indignation.
Josie Gibson stormed out of the Capital Breakfast studio live on air amid a Christmas prank.
On Monday’s (December 16) broadcast of their show, the host of “This Morning” was presented with a Christmas pudding outfit during an interview conducted by Jordan North, Sian Welby, and Chris Stark.
Jordan, not privy to the joke, playfully suggested: “I believe you ought to don my gift on Christmas Day.
Josie, turning swiftly to a crew member, voiced her dissatisfaction, stating emphatically: “Tom, I’ve already made it clear that I don’t want to discuss this matter. I’ve reminded you of our familiarity, and I’ve made it clear that I prefer not to talk about it.
“I thought it would be funny because of the Christmas pudding story,” Tom replied.
Angrily showing her emotions, Josie exclaimed, “Was it amusing to you? I was close to losing my life. As I mentioned earlier, this is absolutely not funny. Could we please move on from this joke?
In a hurry, Jordan started expressing his apologies as Josie clarified that the scenario was quite problematic, promptly exiting the studio, followed closely by Sian in pursuit.
From a distance, off-camera, Josie called out, “Head north, Jordan!” To which Jordan responded, seemingly puzzled, “Oh my goodness, I’m terribly sorry. What on earth is going on? Oh my goodness!
Jordan and Chris were quickly relieved from their bewilderment as Josie and Sian re-entered the room, jokingly saying, “We’re just joking!
Josie playfully remarked, “I guess I would have expected myself in Hollywood after that, it was fantastic! I never thought I was that talented, I should’ve been on ‘EastEnders’ instead!
Jordan expressed that he was perspiring heavily, and added, “Initially, I assumed she was joking, but then it turned out everyone else was too. Goodness gracious, Josie, please never make me feel like this again; I’m practically drenched in sweat!
Later on, Josie explained that her tale about a close-call with a Christmas pudding wasn’t based on real events; in fact, it was all fabricated by her imagination.
Later, a video of the joke was shared on Capital’s main Instagram page, sparking laughter from followers who commented below.
“Cracking up here! Absolutely genius!” I exclaimed, as another chimed in, “Oh boy, my heart is melting for him with every giggle!
A third admirer expressed, “Josie truly deserves an Oscar,” as another echoed, “What a wonderful performance by Josie, Jordan! You’re simply brilliant!” followed by a series of amused laughter symbols.
This Morning airs Mondays through Fridays on ITV1 and ITVX.
