As a dedicated follower of Hollywood news and a fan of Josh Hartnett’s acting career, I couldn’t help but be thrilled to see him and his wife Tamsin Egerton looking so in love on the red carpet at the world premiere of his new movie “Trap.” The couple’s chemistry was palpable as they arrived at Alice Tully Hall in New York, both wearing stunning outfits that highlighted their elegance and sophistication.
At the New York world premiere of his latest film “Trap” on Wednesday, Josh Hartnett and his spouse Tamsin Egerton exchanged a passionate lip-lock on the red carpet.
At Alice Tully Hall, the 46-year-old actor, set to appear in an upcoming thriller, and the 35-year-old actress he stars with, were all smiles and affectionate looks for each other as they made their arrival.
Josh and Tamsin couldn’t wipe the smile off their faces as they posed inside the venue for photos.
In a relaxed yet stylish manner, he wore an open white shirt and matching suit, looking very sharp. Meanwhile, his elegant spouse gracefully donned a sleek black dress with no straps.
The movie “Trap” was initially scheduled to hit theaters on August 2, but has been delayed and is now set to premiere on August 9 instead.
In the forthcoming movie by M. Night Shyamalan, Josh plays the lead role. The story follows a father and his adolescent daughter who unwittingly become part of a mysterious and ominous situation after attending a concert, as suggested in the film’s synopsis.
The couple, who share four children, tied the knot in 2021 after meeting on set of The Lovers.
In the year 2015, they welcomed the arrival of their eldest child. They were blessed with a second child in the year 2017. Their third child came into the world in the year 2019. And, they had their fourth child in the year 2024.
More recently, Josh took his two younger kids to see Taylor Swift perform in concert. Afterward, he shared that experiencing the enthusiasm of her devoted fanbase while working on the thriller “Trap” had given him fresh insight.
After filming the movie, he found seeing one of Taylor’s live performances in London strange and unusual.
“Josh expressed how the intense passion at those concerts, the strong bond between artists and audience, is brilliantly portrayed by Night in the movie,” or “Night’s film wonderfully conveys the excitement and connection between artists and fans at concerts, as Josh noted.”
When I met up with Extra, he made a comparison clear: “I saw that film prior to attending any of those Swift concerts. Frankly, I was clueless about the experience and it struck me as if the crowd had completely lost their senses.”
The actor described an exciting scene from filming the thriller where his character was among the passionate fans of Lady Raven, played by singer Saleka. The audience had previously been given her music and were now fully engaged, enthusiastically singing along and losing themselves in the moment.

Josh generally prefers to keep his family away from public attention, yet he admitted to accompanying his daughters to Taylor’s concert tour.
“Now my daughters have reached an age where they can attend such events,” Josh remarked, referring to taking his young ladies to the renowned global tour.

In a chat with E! News, the actor from Black Mirror expressed his desire for taking up roles that suit his age better.
“He stated that if someone gave him a movie suitable for his children to watch, he would grab the opportunity right away.”
Reflecting, he added, “The film industry has changed, and I may not be offered the same types of roles anymore. Let’s wait and find out.”
