Josh Duhamel Reflects on Fergie: Surprising Comments After Six Years Apart!

Approximately six years following their divorce filing, actor Josh Duhamel reflects on the separation from his former wife, Fergie.

In September 2004, a 52-year-old actor began dating his then 50-year-old partner, known as Stacy Ann Ferguson at birth, and they got married in 2009.

In August 2013, their youngest child, Axl Jack (who is now 11 years old), was born. However, the couple publicly announced their split in September 2017.

Two years after the divorce was initiated, it was officially concluded in November 2019. Subsequently, Josh began a relationship with Audra Mari, Miss World America and a fellow North Dakotan, whom he married in September 2022. Their first child arrived in January 2024.

Over the past years, Duhamel has not discussed his ex extensively, but he did make a handful of occasional remarks about her during an extensive conversation with Parade magazine.

In October 2023, Duhamel shared with Graham Bensinger that he and Fergie enjoy a strong relationship, focusing on co-parenting their son harmoniously.

He subsequently mentioned that he had come to terms with that aspect of his past, and attributed the breakdown of the relationship to their differing desires.

He mentioned that there were no issues with it, yet they truly enjoyed themselves. However, over time, it seems like they grew apart due to their distinct preferences and hobbies.

He confessed that the fast-paced Hollywood lifestyle felt overwhelming for him, expressing that he yearned for the straightforwardness of his true self.

Duhamel expressed that he isn’t someone who feels at ease with the glitz of red carpets or the typical Hollywood scene. Although he has grown more adept at it over time, he admits that it took him a significant period to truly feel like he belongs and fits in. He mentioned that the lifestyle of Hollywood and Los Angeles can be draining if one isn’t mindful.

That’s why he built a new home on a huge parcel of land deep in the Minnesota woods for his family.

The actor explains that one motive for constructing his home in a secluded wooded area in Minnesota was because it provides solitude and distance from urban life.

In a simpler context, this person is saying that being in this specific place offers an opportunity to return to fundamental essentials. You won’t be overwhelmed by various distractions there. Instead, the focus shifts towards enjoyment, ensuring everyone stays comfortable, well-fed, and hydrated.

Apart from drawing nearer to his parents, he also mentioned that moving to Minnesota has allowed him to bond more with his son too.

Duhamel shared that his son will retain fond memories of this location for a lifetime. Instead of being engrossed in his iPad, he is actively participating in various activities such as fishing with me on the boat, playing soccer on the beach, or exploring the woods alongside me.
