Joseph Duggar’s wife Kendra seen in new arrest video after husband was charged for alleged child molestation

New footage reveals the moment that Kendra Duggar was booked into jail after her shocking arrest.

Footage obtained by The Daily Mail shows Joseph Duggar’s 27-year-old wife being booked into the Washington County Detention Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Friday. This comes after Duggar was arrested last week and accused of inappropriate contact with a nine-year-old girl.

Following Joseph’s arrest, news emerged that his wife had also been arrested in Tonitown, Arkansas. She faces charges related to the welfare of a child and false imprisonment – specifically, four counts of each offense.

Her husband has also been hit with the same charges, in addition to his earlier charges. 

Records from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, obtained by The Daily Mail, show Kendra Duggas was booked at 4:56 p.m.

The surveillance video from the detention center shows Duggar sitting on a bench with her hands cuffed between her legs. A plainclothes officer is seen talking to her, though there is no sound in the video.

A second officer brought another person into the room, who then sat down next to Duggar on the bench.

Okay, so this officer – she was in full uniform, which, honestly, just made everything more intense – told Duggar to get up and come with her. She led him over to this wall, it was between these huge double doors, and I just kept watching, completely fixated on every little move.

Duggar turned to face the wall while the officer searched her, then turned back around as her handcuffs were unlocked.

The reality TV personality appears to turn towards the wall and raise her hands as someone continues to search her.

The officer instructed Duggar to face her, then showed her how to open her mouth wide for inspection. She explained that Duggar should use her pinkie fingers to pull the corners of her lips outwards, allowing a clear view of her teeth.

Once the officer seemed satisfied, Duggar removed her sandals and turned her feet to display the soles.

It seems the questioning is over. Duggar puts her hands behind her back once more as the officer escorts her to another room, and the video then stops recording.

Following the arrest of her husband, Joseph, on Wednesday regarding accusations of sexually abusing a nine-year-old girl, Duggar was released from jail on Friday.

She was freed from the Washington County Detention Center at 6:19 p.m. after paying a $1,470 bond.

Duggar was seen leaving the facility in a black SUV, where another woman was waiting to drive her away.

A woman was spotted carrying a reusable water bottle, some papers, and a plastic bag that appeared to contain items belonging to Kendra, and she took them to the car.

Kendra was wanted by law enforcement, and a warrant for her arrest was issued on Friday. When officers first went to her home in Washington County, she wasn’t there, but she was later taken into custody.

Kendra and Joseph married in 2017, and the pair are parents to four children. 

Josh Duggar was arrested Wednesday on charges related to inappropriate and illegal sexual activity with a child, according to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office in Lynn Haven, Florida.

A Tontitown, Arkansas police investigator contacted the BCSO about a previously reported case of sexual abuse.

According to police, a 14-year-old girl reported that about five years ago, Duggar was involved in several incidents she considered inappropriate.

Police say the incidents reportedly happened in 2020, when the victim was nine years old and vacationing with her family in Panama City Beach, Florida.

Jim Bob Duggar, known from the show 19 Kids and Counting, is now facing more charges. Police in Tontitown, Arkansas, told TMZ he’s been charged with four counts of putting a child in danger and four counts of unlawfully restricting a child’s freedom.

Sources say the new legal issues facing Joseph and Kendra in Arkansas are separate from his existing Florida case.

He is being held in Arkansas as he awaits extradition back to Florida.

Since his arrest, some family members have spoken out, including his brother Josh, who is currently in prison for 12 years due to possessing illegal images of child sexual abuse.

His attorney told the Daily Mail: ‘Josh understands the stigma of being accused.

He deeply feels the devastating impact of false accusations and understands how someone can be unfairly targeted by the media, leading to a distorted and exaggerated version of events.

I was really saddened to hear from the lawyer that Josh and his brother aren’t talking much right now. It’s tough, but Josh told me he’s still hoping and praying for his brother and that he gets through this. It just shows how much he cares, even with everything going on.

His sister, Jill, also shared her thoughts in a post on the family blog she co-manages with her husband, Derick Dillard.

We were surprised to hear about the arrest of Jill’s brother, Joseph Duggar, last night, according to a message we received.

We found out about the charges against him yesterday when a friend sent us a text about news reports of Joseph’s arrest. The reports said he confessed to harming a young girl in 2020, and we were shocked and deeply saddened to hear this.

We strongly condemn this abuse and believe justice must be served. Our thoughts are with the young victim and her family during this incredibly difficult time.

We’re hoping God will give her strength, comfort, and hope, and that she receives all the support she needs during this difficult time.

Jill and Derick sent their love and prayers to Kendra and her four children, hoping they feel supported and loved while dealing with this incredibly difficult time and grieving their loss.

The post went live on Thursday, the day before Kendra was arrested and accused of putting a child in danger and unlawfully holding them captive.

On Wednesday evening, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in Fayetteville, Arkansas, published Duggar’s booking photo.

The reality TV personality had grown a full beard and looked straight ahead with a serious, unsmiling face. This was a stark difference from the cheerful photo taken of his brother, Josh, during his 2021 arrest in Washington County.

The person who reported the incidents said their family was staying at a house on Danny Drive when they happened.

According to the BCSO, Joseph Duggar repeatedly asked a female companion to sit on his lap, and his actions became more insistent throughout the vacation.

In a separate event, Joseph invited the victim to sit beside him on a couch and covered them with a blanket, then rubbed his hands on their thighs.

‘During this time, Duggar manipulated the victim’s underwear and grazed her genitals.’

According to the BCSO, Duggar apologized to the person who claimed to be the victim, and the incidents stopped after that.

On Tuesday, the father of the person who reported the incident spoke with Joseph Duggar. According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, Duggar admitted to what he did in front of the father and a detective in Tontitown.

Joseph Duggar was arrested and faced charges related to inappropriate and unlawful contact with a child under the age of 12. The charges involved allegations of sexually inappropriate behavior, and he was accused of being 18 or older when the alleged incident occurred.

According to an official statement from the Bay County Sheriff’s Office obtained by People magazine, Duggar admitted to the incident while speaking with the girl’s father and a detective.

BCSO Investigator Chase Norris asked both the detective and the victim’s father to contact the defendant.

According to the official statement, during the phone call, Duggar acknowledged what he did and said he touched the person over their clothes.

At the time, the TV personality had ‘admitted his intentions were not pure.’ 

Amy Duggar, his cousin, recently spoke out about the arrest, saying she was both shocked and, unfortunately, not entirely surprised.

In a statement released on Friday to People magazine, she expressed feeling sickened, heartbroken, and deeply angered by the recent allegations against her cousin, Joseph Duggar.

Amy expressed her deepest sympathy for the victim, a child who should have felt safe, secure, and loved. She emphasized the importance of trust and protection for all children.

It took incredible courage for her to speak out, especially after keeping something so difficult to herself for so long. Her bravery is truly deserving of recognition.

Although Amy said she was completely shocked by the accusations, she admitted she wasn’t surprised to hear about another alleged abuser coming forward, given how harmful the system is.

Amy explained that she’s made a conscious effort to change patterns of behavior within her family, both close and extended.

Oh my gosh, my heart just breaks for the person who was hurt, I’m sending all my positive energy their way. And honestly, I can’t even imagine how Joseph’s wife, Kendra, must be feeling right now – I’m praying for her too, that she finds strength. Mostly, I just want those poor kids to be safe and shielded from all of this. It’s just…so much, and we don’t even know everything yet, but I’m sending love to everyone involved.
