Jordan Stephens Rejects Star Wars Role Over Dreadlock Dilemma!

According to Jordan Stephens, he was invited to feature in a Star Wars television series; however, he declined the opportunity as the producers requested him to shave off his dreadlocks.

In the 2016 film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the actor from Rizze Kicks, aged 33 at that time, portrayed Corporal Stordan Tonc.

Initially, he was requested to resume his character for the series Andor, a spin-off of Rogue One, yet there was an unwelcome condition attached to it which he disliked.

In a TikTok post, Jordan shared that his supervisors suggested he trim his dreadlocks, but he declined since he was only set to appear in a single scene.

He mentioned that someone requested his appearance for an unspecified season of ‘Andor’, and he was thrilled because it meant a return of his character from ‘Star Wars: Rogue One’. That sounds absolutely amazing!

A week before the photoshoot, they asked if they could see my appearance. I sent them a photo, to which they responded by asking if I could cut off my dreadlocks.

‘They requested that I perform this action just for a single scene, but that’s preposterous! It would be like growing my hair for six whole years, and then chopping it all off for only one scene. I don’t think so.’

In response, it can be stated as: Jordan suggested wearing a helmet during the scene as a concession, but his superiors weren’t fond of this proposal.

I joked, ‘Why can’t I simply wear a helmet like in Rogue One?’ And their response was, ‘We don’t believe it would be realistic.’

‘A reality where we’re fighting slugs with laser guns but wearing a helmet is too far.’

Apart from being renowned for his music, Jordan has also made appearances in television series such as Catastrophe, Drunk History, and Glue.

It comes after Jordan shortly enjoyed a safari trip to Kenya with his girlfriend Jade Thirlwall.

Jade took to Instagram to share pictures from their wholesome getaway in the middle of nowhere.

During her journey, the star chose to forgo makeup and let her natural, curly hair flow freely, proudly displaying her authentic self.

Looking back at my journey, I penned down that I began the year with a safari adventure in Kenya, which turned out to be an incredibly beautiful, enchanting, and rejuvenating experience.

Anyone familiar with me would vouch for my unwavering affection for David Attenborough documentaries, or nature programs in general. Yet, experiencing such sights in person? That experience will stay with me forever.

In the Louis Theroux Podcast, the songstress admitted to breaking down in tears upon making the decision to depart from the band, and in response, Jordan bought her a sweet treat from a popular bakery.

She mentioned that they were headed northward to visit her relatives. For about an hour or so, she kept crying loudly.

‘We parked up at services and he was like, ”do you want some peace?”. And I was like, ”yes”.’

At that moment, it became clear to me that he was special because instead of asking something typical like “Are you okay?”, he showed concern by saying, “Can you manage being alone for a while?” In truth, I was speechless and responded with screams.

Then, he stepped outside to the stores and returned carrying a pastry from Greggs. At that moment, it struck me as the perfect choice.
