2021 has seen one of the year’s most talked-about stories in sneakers – Jordan Brand’s commemoration of 40 years since the Air Jordan 1. Yet, the Air Jordan 5 is also garnering significant attention for its 35th anniversary. It’s doing so by reintroducing popular colorways like “Fire Red” and partnering with brands such as Awake NY and Paris Saint-Germain on upcoming releases.
This year, there’s a new colorway for the 35th Anniversary of the Air Jordan 5 on the horizon, according to recent updates from both zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files. Although we don’t have a sneak peek at the shoe yet, it is expected to feature a white leather upper with accents of “Medium Soft Pink” on the Nike Air branding at the heel and a “23” callout.
As I’m typing this, it’s still unclear if Jordan Brand will be releasing the “35th Anniversary” colorway of the Air Jordan 5 this year. Keep your eyes peeled for updates, including a sneak peek at the shoes, as we anticipate they’ll hit the shelves on October 11, exclusively through Nike SNKRS and select retailers, with a starting price tag of $210 USD.
