Jono Castano reveals he's prioritising his mental health and 'time for family' amid acrimonious split from Simone Holtznagel weeks after they welcomed first child

As a dedicated follower of such inspiring individuals, I can’t help but admire Jono Castano’s evolution and growth. His journey from a fitness enthusiast to a mental health advocate is truly commendable. His life experiences have taught him the importance of balance, self-care, and prioritizing mental health.

Jono Castano has shared that he’s equally concerned with maintaining his mental wellness, along with his physical health.

As he advances in years, the renowned fitness coach, who recently became a father for the first time with his former partner Simone Holtznagel, expresses to the Daily Telegraph that his life focus has shifted.

‘It’s crucial to find balance between work, relationships, and self-care’ the 33-year-old said.

Balancing your family, health, hobbies, and work ensures a more satisfying and purposeful existence.

He continued: ‘Exercise greatly improves mental state by releasing endorphins, reducing stress, and boosting self-esteem.

Improving mood, aiding in deeper sleep, and encouraging stronger social bonds, all these factors collectively support mental health and wellness.

The ACERO gym owner says that his mental health and time for himself is a focus going forward.

According to Jono, the crucial life lesson he’s discovered is never neglecting self-care.

When I make my mental wellbeing a priority, I’m better equipped to handle stress, generate fresh ideas, and keep a hopeful perspective on life.

Following Simone Holtznagel’s latest harsh criticism, it appears she has once again targeted her former boyfriend following their contentious breakup.

In a tranquil manner, the 31-year-old Australian exited his relationship with the personal trainer approximately nine weeks following the birth of their little girl Gia, who arrived on Easter Sunday.

In July, Jono officially announced their split, and since then, Simone has been openly raising Gia on her own. Additionally, she made a vague comment suggesting she couldn’t alter the characteristics of her former partner.

A prominent figure from Australia’s Next Top Model show made a subtle, pointed gesture towards her former partner through a strategic action on her social media platform.

In my recent interaction, I gave a thumbs-up to an Instagram post that humorously expressed discomfort towards the father of my little one.

Accompanying a scene where Rowan Atkinson as Mr. Bean looks disgusted, there was a caption that said: ‘Realizing you had romantic feelings for the father of your child in the past.’

A humorous caption penned by content creator JayDee Milo added: ‘Who feels like [vomit emoji]???’

Simone’s representatives declined to comment when contacted by Daily Mail Australia.

After Simone finally spoke up about their separation, she explained that she couldn’t alter the person she loved, subtly suggesting the causes of their parting, which followed her statement.

She shared with Stellar that a turning point for her was realizing the need to set an example for her daughter. On one occasion, she found herself questioning, ‘Am I acting appropriately? This isn’t how it should be.’ And above all, she didn’t want her daughter ever finding herself in such a situation.

Ultimately, it’s important to prioritize your own needs and choices. Regardless of the pledges or other enticements others may offer, trust their actions because people generally don’t change. After all, you can’t transform someone else.

Additionally, Simone expressed satisfaction in nurturing her six-month-old daughter Gia on her own, and she’s sure about the decision she made.

She stated with confidence, ‘I’ve never been this certain about anything before, and I genuinely believe I can accomplish it on my own. It’s a pity that I have to do most of it alone, but honestly, I can’t conceive of another option.’

It feels perfectly suited to me what I’m currently engaged in. My utmost priority is ensuring Gia’s happiness and well-being, along with my own happiness as well.

More recently, Simone discussed the pros and cons of being a single parent, even though it appears she and Jono divide parental responsibilities.

Recently, when asked about my sources of inspiration in an interview, I gratefully acknowledged my family and friends, without explicitly naming a certain individual. It seems that Jono may have been overlooked in this instance, perhaps unintentionally so.

When Women’s Health inquired about an unexpected facet of motherhood, Simone responded: ‘On a positive note, I discovered I could manage this independently. On the downside, I find myself having to handle it all on my own.’

I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have my loved ones go beyond expectations in supporting me. It makes the tough times seem less daunting knowing they are there beside me.

On Easter Sunday, Simone joyously greeted her daughter Gia alongside Jono. However, this pair parted ways approximately nine weeks later, as confirmed by Jono towards the end of July.

In his statement to Daily Mail Australia, he expressed that while it’s uncertain what lies ahead, their goal is to strive as the best parents they can be for Gia at this moment in time.

For a while, it had been evident that the end of Simone and Jono’s relationship was imminent, as a trusted confidant of theirs had hinted earlier.

According to a source, Simone was cautioned by various friends and relatives that her model lifestyle might clash with Jono’s career as a fitness influencer.
