Jonathan Ross and his wife, Jane Goldman, were spotted enjoying a date night on Monday, marking a rare public outing for the couple.

The 64-year-old talk show host looked happy and cheerful while posing with Jane at the opening of the West End musical, The Producers.

Jane, 55, looked beautiful in a light-colored, crocheted dress for her night out, which she completed with brown boots.

Jane, who used to be known for her striking red hair, now wore her blonde hair down, styled in soft curls.

Oh my gosh, he was wearing black trousers, but then he *added* this amazing checkered jacket! And can we talk about the trainers? Black and white, so effortlessly cool. It was the perfect outfit, seriously. I couldn’t take my eyes off it!

Oh my gosh, I actually *saw* him! He was there, on the red carpet, holding a program – a real, official one! And he was with Jane! They went *inside* the Garrick Theatre together, I can’t even believe it! I have a picture, it’s a little blurry, but it’s *him*!

The gala also welcomed stars like Dame Joan Collins, Martin Freeman, Richard Arnold, Alison Steadman, and recently married Maureen Lipman.

Dame Kelly Holmes, Martin and Lara Lewis, Angela Griffin, Charlie Brooks, Michelle Collins, Bonnie Langford, Paul Sinha, and Su Pollard were also spotted on the red carpet.

Jane has worked as a screenwriter, author, and producer throughout her 35+ year marriage to Jonathan. She’s a remarkably talented woman.

She helped write the screenplays for popular films like Kingsman: The Secret Service and X-Men: First Class. In 2012, she wrote her first screenplay on her own for the movie, The Woman In Black.

Jane was only 16 when she first met the man who would become her husband. She was starting out as a journalist covering the entertainment industry, and they married two years later in 1988.

I’ve been following Jonathan’s career for years, and it’s fascinating to remember when he was just starting out as a talk show host. That’s when he first met this journalist – she was quite young at the time, and he was about ten years older. It was a really interesting meeting, the start of something special, I always thought.

The couple have three children together, Betty Kitten, Harvey Kirby and Honey Kinney.

Jane shared with The Times that she first met Jonathan at a promotional event.

He compared himself and his wife to dirty hamsters, and admitted he dislikes having to bathe often.

‘He’d just started his show The Last Resort. He’d only been doing it for two weeks, I think.’

I’m having trouble recalling our conversations. It’s frustrating, because Honey keeps asking me about them, but the details just don’t stick with me.

I probably invited him to something else, wanting another chance to see him. I guess I was more comfortable in social situations back then.

Last year, Jonathan bizarrely revealed he and Jane shower less than once a week.

Honestly, it’s just… *so* him. He actually said, and I quote, ‘Do I *look* like I care enough to waste even a second on getting ready? I seriously hate having to shower!’ It’s perfect. It’s absolutely, wonderfully, perfectly him. He just doesn’t *do* effort, and the fact that something as basic as showering is a burden to him? I live for it. It’s so raw and real, you know? It just confirms everything I already knew – he’s brilliantly, unapologetically himself.

Sometimes I’ll go a week or more without showering, and Jane does too. We get really cozy in bed, like hamsters nesting in their straw.

During an appearance on the Parenting Hell podcast, he admitted he hadn’t showered that day. This came after comedian Josh Widdicombe playfully asked him about his last shower.

Jonathan explained he hadn’t exercised, saying, “It happened yesterday. Why would I do it two days running? I haven’t worked out at all.”

He admitted that during a trip to Florida, he went for two weeks without showering, mistakenly believing he’d been swimming. He realized his mistake when he noticed he still didn’t smell fresh.

He mentioned that during a Florida vacation at his home, he was in and out of the pool so much that he likely went about two weeks without showering properly.
