Jonathan Majors is ready to stage his comeback — by teaming up with the Daily Wire.
The actor is starting work on a new action movie this week in South Carolina. This will be his first film since he was convicted of assaulting and harassing an ex-girlfriend in 2023, according to Deadline. The movie is a project from The Daily Wire and Bonfire Legend and currently doesn’t have a title.
The movie, directed and written by Kyle Rankin (known for “Run Hide Fight”), is being compared to classic action films from the 80s and 90s like “Red Dawn” and “Toy Soldiers.” Jonathan Majors will not only star in the film but also work as an executive producer, according to reports.

Filmmakers with conservative viewpoints, such as those at the Daily Wire – the company behind this year’s highest-earning documentary – are gaining traction by appealing to viewers who feel ignored by mainstream Hollywood.
Ben Shapiro, a conservative commentator and co-founder of The Daily Wire, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that they’re working on something incredible. He described the project as “WILD” in a Facebook post.
Jonathan Majors was gaining prominence as a Hollywood actor when he was arrested in March 2023 on charges of assault, strangulation, and harassment. After the arrest, he was quickly removed from several acting projects by his management and PR teams. He had been expected to play a major villain in future Marvel movies, but Marvel Studios also dropped him following his conviction.
Majors avoided jail time and has since married fellow actor Meagan Good after a brief engagement.
Besides Ben Shapiro working with The Daily Wire, Dallas Sonnier will be producing content for Bonfire Legend. Both companies are openly seeking out Hollywood figures who have fallen from grace, offering them opportunities to rebuild their careers.
The Daily Wire and Bonfire Legends have collaborated on projects before, including the 2022 western film “Terror on the Prairie,” which starred Gina Carano. Carano was let go by Disney in 2021 after she shared social media posts that the company considered hateful and discriminatory. She later sued Disney in 2024, alleging wrongful termination, and the case was settled in August.
