A man in San Antonio has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting his neighbor, Jonathan Joss, who was a voice actor famous for his work on the animated show “King of the Hill.”
Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez, 57, has been indicted by a Texas grand jury for first-degree murder, according to court documents obtained by The Times. Alvarez’s lawyers haven’t yet commented on the charges.
More than five months after his arrest on suspicion of murder, Sigfredo Alvarez has been formally indicted in connection with a fatal shooting. Police were called to the 200 block of Dorsey Street on June 1st and discovered the victim near the road. Initial police reports identified Alvarez as “Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja” and referred to the location as “Dorsey Dr.”.
Police stated that first responders tried to save the actor’s life until paramedics arrived. He was declared dead at the scene and was 59 years old. The actor was also known for his role in “Parks and Recreation.”

Entertainment & Arts
Actor Jonathan Joss, famous for his roles in ‘King of the Hill’ and ‘Parks and Recreation,’ was fatally shot on Sunday. His husband believes the shooting was a hate crime motivated by anti-LGBTQ+ bias.
Police haven’t released information about what happened before the shooting. However, Joss’ husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, shared on Facebook that they had been openly harassed and threatened with homophobic slurs before the incident. He believes the shooting was motivated by this homophobia.
Gonzales reported that he and Joss went back to the actor’s burned San Antonio home – which had been destroyed by fire in January – to pick up their mail. The actor had also lost three dogs in the fire. According to Gonzales, a man approached them, began shouting hateful and violent slurs targeting their sexual orientation, and then pulled out a gun and fired it.

Television
Porsha Williams, a star on ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ had a run-in with police at the Atlanta airport on Sunday. The incident happened after a disagreement on a flight from Las Vegas.
He explained that Joss had saved his life by pushing him aside, and stated his husband was killed because the perpetrator couldn’t tolerate their relationship as a gay couple.
Police disagreed with Gonzales’ statements, clarifying in a tweet that their investigation found no connection between Mr. Joss’ murder and his sexual orientation. They previously stated in a June tweet that they take such allegations seriously.
Joss Ackland, known for voicing John Redcorn on “King of the Hill,” recently recorded new lines for the show’s revival before passing away. He also appeared in several other popular TV series, including “Tulsa King,” “Ray Donovan,” “Friday Night Lights,” “ER,” and “Charmed.”
