Jonas Brothers Fans Swarm NJ Mall for JonasCon, Sparking Chaos and Disappointment

JonasCon is happening at the American Dream mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey today. 

20 years of the Jonas Brothers is being commemorated with an event, during which they illuminated the Empire State Building as a highlight of the weekend’s festivities.

The occasion was billed as an exceptional Jonas Brothers enthusiast gathering featuring laser tag, a gaming area themed around the Jonas Brothers, Jonas Brothers trivia, and a Shake by the Ocean milkshake stand.

On platform X (previously known as Twitter), enthusiasts are expressing their opinions about the extraordinarily lengthy queues, large gatherings, and the exclusive seating arrangements.

A user named Maya Denise shared a video indicating that those with VIP tickets had their seating in an elevated section, offering a distant view of the stage compared to the close-up experience of general admission (GA) ticket holders.

‘@VIPNation, the JonasBrothers Sky Stage VIP tickets were a SCAM! It’s unbelievable that those who didn’t pay for tickets are getting a better view of the show than those who shelled out $200! This is by far the worst VIP experience I’ve ever had @jonasbrothers,’ she expressed.

‘Elyse Sosa shared a video showing an individual dressed as a tall giraffe distributing bananas. She asked, “What is Jonas Convention?”‘

According to Jonas on Tour’s tweet, accompanied by a video, the queue for JonasCon is overwhelmingly large.

‘JonasCon is nothing but waiting in lines,’ another tweeted.  

Just three weeks ago, JonasCon was struggling to find sponsors for the event.

The scheduled occasion is set for this coming Sunday, March 23rd, running from 11 am to 11 pm. However, it was reported earlier this month that the event seems to have been hastily arranged, with rumors suggesting it may be turning chaotic.

The fan videos posted on X certainly support the idea that the event is a ‘mess.’

To become a sponsor for JonasCon, the minimum amount required is set at $100,000, and currently, they’ve only secured one sponsorship contract.

The source added, ‘I believe Fossil invested a significant sum, not just any sum, but a substantial one. However, they did so because Nick was previously appointed as their brand representative.’

They shared that the siblings and their group have been largely responsible for organizing the entire event, but it has unfortunately become a ‘disorganized and chaotic shambles.’

On the band’s official site, there was minimal information regarding what fans could anticipate, instead urging them to sign up in the weeks preceding the event.

Additionally, it alerts fans that although entrance is complimentary, registration is compulsory. However, they also mention the availability of VIP opportunities and extra ticketed events that come with a cost.

Supporters have been vocalizing their dissatisfaction on Reddit due to insufficient updates, and a few have openly decided against attending as a result.

One individual remarked, “I wasn’t at all taken aback that no further announcements have been made about JonasCon.

We won’t end up attending since other commitments are coming up, travel arrangements are complicated, and there’s limited information about the event itself. However, I’m staying updated on any updates purely out of curiosity to find out who or what will be participating.

Given that the event is approximately two and a half weeks from now, one might expect some sort of update or announcement by now. It wouldn’t surprise me if the event ultimately gets cancelled, given their past history.

Another fan swiftly responded, expressing disbelief by saying: ‘It’s hard to believe there haven’t been any announcements whatsoever.’

Another person admitted: ‘I’m just relieved I didn’t spend any money cuz I knew this would happen.’

A third fan claimed: ‘As I’ve said before, Jonas marketing sucks and they need a better team.’

A fourth individual expressed relief: ‘I wasn’t the only one questioning things. I received the “You’re In” email a few weeks back. Being from New Jersey, I haven’t had to arrange any trips. Frankly, for a complimentary event, I’m still irritated by how chaotic it is, chuckling.’

‘It’s anticipated that we’ll receive further information by this coming Friday, or the announcement might be delayed indefinitely.’
