Jon Richardson gives a rare update on his love life weeks after ex-wife Lucy Beaumont was spotted with a new man amid their divorce
As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that Jon Richardson‘s recent admission about his newfound happiness as a single man is both refreshing and relatable. It’s always fascinating to see how people find contentment in different stages of their lives, and Jon seems to be embracing this change with grace.
I’m absolutely thrilled to share that my beloved comedian, Jon Richardson, has recently disclosed some news about his personal life! This comes hot on the heels of those intriguing photos circulating of his estranged partner, Lucy Beaumont, with an enigmatic gentleman. Can’t wait to hear more details!
In April, they made public their choice to end their 9-year marriage through divorce, a decision that left their followers in a state of surprise.
On stage at the London Palladium during a unique comedy event hosted by Absolute Radio on Sunday, Jon, aged 42, confessed a significant truth about his current relationship status.
In response to Judi Love’s comedy act discussing dating difficulties, Jon pondered over his own romantic situation and mused, “It leaves me feeling contentedly solo.
In the course of the program, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown’s leading figure apparently shared his relief about no longer needing to turn on the faucet in hotel bathrooms upon using the toilet as a newly single gentleman, according to The Sun’s report.
The evening, which was held to raise funds for The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Charity, saw Jon joined by a host of comedians including Judi, Dara O’Briain and Josh Widdicombe.
Last month, Lucy exited the Lowry Theatre in Manchester on a Sunday night accompanied by an enigmatic gentleman – half a year since she publicly announced the conclusion of her marriage with comedian Jon Richardson.
The gentleman in question was later revealed as sound engineer Martin Wallace.
It isn’t clear exactly when Beaumont and Wallace initially crossed paths, but it’s worth noting that prior to their encounter, Wallace had been a sound engineer for Jon Richardson’s 2014 stand-up special titled “Jon Richardson Live: Nidiot.
Wallace boasts extensive experience as a sound technician, having collaborated intimately with numerous comedic heavyweights such as Rob Beckett and Dara Ó Briain.
He is also a talented multi-instrumentalist, being self-taught on guitar, piano and bass.
The nature of their relationship is unknown.
TopMob contacted Lucy Beaumont’s representatives for comment at the time.
Her evening out came just six months after she split from her comedian husband Jon.
They share a daughter and tied the knot in April 2015, after they started dating in 2013.
Beaumont and Richardson initially crossed paths thanks to mutual friend Roisin Conaty, eventually collaborating on several productions like “Meet The Richardsons”.
In an announcement made in April, they declared, ‘Having been married for nine years, we are disclosing that we have chosen to live apart. With mutual understanding, we’ve decided to end our marriage through a divorce, moving forward independently.’
Richardson handed over £1.625 million Beaumont when they called time on their nine year marriage.
And the comedian has since spoken out about their split in an interview with OK! Magazine.
She told the publication: ‘People might think I should talk about it because we were so public and everyone knew us as a couple, but I won’t, and not because there’s any animosity.
In our conversation, we concurred that although it could seem unusual to others who aren’t privy to the matter, we prefer to keep discussions about our marriage and personal lives private.
In her forties, she’s adopted a fresh perspective on life, expressing it as follows: “I honestly don’t feel much changed, but I do find myself getting more irritable and unwilling to tolerate any nonsense from others.
After Beaumont expressed her concern that she might have made a wrong decision by marrying Jon due to his persistent unwillingness, an old video clip surfaced where she voiced this sentiment.
A previously aired video displays her discussing her marital issues during an appearance on the program “Ultimate Worrier,” which features Richardson inviting guests to assist in addressing his numerous concerns.
Inquired about any concerns Beaumont might have regarding her former spouse, she responded: ‘I have many concerns. At times, I fear that I may have erred in my decision.’
She elaborated by explaining that Richardson finds it difficult to acknowledge his errors or mistakes, a trait she mentioned could pose challenges in a marriage.
She went on to express, ‘I find it challenging in a marriage when one partner finds it difficult to acknowledge mistakes and apologize.’
The ex-couple were joined on the episode by Jonathan Ross, who chimed in to say: ‘It’s crucial there’s no way a relationship can survive that.’
Give me a chance to slip up before you pass your verdict, please,” I pleaded, as the crowd chuckled. “I believe everyone deserves a fair shot.
