As a die-hard fan of Jon Richardson, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions when reading about his personal and professional life. On one hand, it’s heartbreaking to see such a talented comedian going through a tough time. Yet, on the other hand, I am thrilled to see him bouncing back so quickly after his split.

Comedian Jon Richardson has agreed a mega payout to ex wife Lucy Beaumont after they split.

Jon handed over £1.625 million to Lucy when they called time on their nine year marriage in April.

For seven years, they worked side by side on the documentary-like series “Meet the Richardsons,” eventually accumulating a wealth of approximately £6 million.

However, joint business documents disclose that two months following their separation in June, Jon, aged 41, purchased Lucy’s, also 40, £1.625 million shareholding in the company they once ran together.

At night, he also found himself having to part with £8,125 as Stamp Duty to HMRC upon acquiring his share in This Guy at Night Limited.

As per the latest financial reports, the company’s value stood at approximately 4 million pounds last year. The pair continue to be identified as co-owners of a detached house worth a million pounds in Yorkshire, complete with a swimming pool, and another million pound property in an upscale neighborhood of North London.

In April 2015, they got married, being parents to a single child. They declared their separation in April of this very year, only a few days following the premiere of the fifth season of their sitcom titled “Meet The Richardsons.

They began dating in 2013, having been introduced by mutual friend Roisin Conaty. Over the years, they collaborated on several projects, one of them being “Meet The Richardsons.

Approximately four months back, they announced through a shared statement that their 9-year long marriage had ended. They’ve mutually and peacefully decided to file for divorce and lead independent lives from now on.

In an interview last year Lucy hinted that Meet the Richardsons would be ending.

She said: ‘This will probably be the last one, and we’re going out on a high.’

Previously, Lucy admitted that many spectators fail to comprehend that their conflicts aren’t genuine, expressing: “It’s been wonderful, but I notice comments on social platforms and it seems like people aren’t aware it’s all staged…

‘I don’t henpeck – we wouldn’t have lasted this long if I was as mean to him in real life. You don’t want to see a smug couple in love, in a nice house, with a stable career and a lovely little child. Who wants to see that?…

I wouldn’t engage if our interactions continued in this manner. Let’s demonstrate to the other party that we are always at odds, as it presents a more authentic representation…

The surrounding world we live in may seem a bit peculiar, yet I believe that people can still find a sense of familiarity within it, and that’s reassuring.

Meanwhile, following their surprising breakup, Jon secured a significant acting role, becoming a part of the Absolute Radio team starting from September.

He is on air every Saturday morning at 8am and will be broadcast from the show’s London studios or from his custom-built studio, which is located in his savvy garden pub.

Jon is best known as a team captain on Channel 4’s popular show 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Additionally, he shares hosting duties on the podcast titled “Down the Dog” with Matt Forde, who hosts a weekend radio program for Absolute Radio.
