Bravo superfan Jon Hamm has pledged his loyalty to Team Ciara in the Summer House scandal.
Social media exploded on Tuesday when Amanda Batula and West Wilson publicly revealed they’d been secretly dating.
The relationship was a betrayal to Ciara Miller, who was friends with Batula and dated Wilson.
Hamm is now commenting on the situation after speaking with Miller the day before the news broke, and she hinted at being heartbroken.
A video from the season two premiere of Your Friends & Neighbors shows 30-year-old Miller interviewing 55-year-old Hamm. When Miller asked how she was doing, Hamm responded, ‘I’ve been better.’
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Hamm stated he was firmly on Ciara’s side regarding the recent scandal.
He continued, saying it’s hard to understand how someone could justify that behavior. However, after meeting Ciara, he believes she’s a wonderful person and is confident she’ll overcome this difficult situation.
When asked about the situation, Hamm remembered Miller giving a surprisingly blunt reply, telling Andy Cohen she’d said something along the lines of, ‘I’ve been better.’
‘I had no idea! It wasn’t me! I was like, “Well, it’s about to get a lot better! I’m here!”
On Monday, Miller reported from the red carpet at the season 2 premiere of Your Friends & Neighbors, conducting interviews with cast members for Apple TV+.
During one part of her interview with the show’s star Jon Hamm, 55, Miller asks how he’s feeling.
‘Wonderful, thank you. How are you?’ Hamm replies.
The camera then zooms in on Miller, who says, ‘I’m good,’ before adding, ‘Well, I’ve been better.’
Later in the video, she playfully suggested that everyone involved in the project had questionable ethics.
She also told another cast member that she is ‘on Prozac.’
The Summer House cast member shared a video with a caption questioning who to trust if not your close friends and local community: ‘If you can’t trust your Friends & Neighbors, who can you trust?’
This video was her first post on social media after Batula, 34, and Wilson, 28, publicly revealed they were secretly dating in a statement on their Instagram Stories just a few hours earlier.
We’ve noticed a lot of discussion online, so we wanted to quickly share what’s happening, even though things are still developing.
We never meant to keep anything secret. Because of the complex relationships and the pressure of being on a reality show, we just needed some time to sort things out privately before talking about it.
We’ve been friends for a long time, supporting each other through everything life has thrown our way, and this recent development was a complete surprise to both of us.
We were already close friends, so it was really important to handle things carefully as our relationship developed.
‘As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling.’
We understand this situation has affected others, and we sincerely regret if our actions caused any pain or seemed thoughtless.
It concluded: ‘We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.’
The news was confirmed a few days after rumors started circulating online, fueled by a post on the gossip account Deux Moi claiming the pair had been seen kissing.
