Jon Cryer: Charlie Sheen Would Be a Better President Than Trump
Jon Cryer continues to uphold the statement he made in 2016, asserting that Charlie Sheen, aged 59, could make a superior president compared to Donald Trump, who is 78 years old.
Cryer stated that if given the option, he would prefer his Two and a Half Men co-star over the present U.S. President in terms of who should hold nuclear control.
60-year-old actor from “Pretty in Pink,” made the remark during Trump’s initial presidential campaign.
I’ve been emphasizing quite forcefully and making it clear to all who will listen, that Donald Trump is a political equivalent to Charlie Sheen.
Let me be clear, I have a fondness for Charlie Sheen. Working with him was enjoyable when he was sober, but let’s face it, he’s got quite a few issues. His problems are significant, stemming from addiction. And it’s obvious that his addiction is serious, involving drugs. However, Trump appears to be addicted to feeling significant or important.”
This version aims to maintain the original sentiment while using more polite language and avoiding potentially offensive expressions. It also clarifies Charlie Sheen’s issues as being related to substance abuse and emphasizes Trump’s perceived addiction to feeling important.
But now, he’s explained his comment during an appearance on The MeidasTouch Podcast.

In 2016, Cryer remarked that whatever ideas popped into Sheen’s mind was well-received by people, and they adored it even more when he spoke bluntly about offensive matters.
In simpler terms, despite the challenges that Charlie may have, Cryer believes he would make a more suitable president compared to Trump, as expressed during the MeidasTouch podcast on Wednesday.
Cryer clarified, “When I made that remark, Charlie was still in the habit of blurting out whatever random ‘tiger blood’ comment he had.
Trump often spoke carelessly, saying things that might appear foolish, because many people tended to view him as innocuous and not accountable for his words.
It was during a time when Trump appeared harmless that Cryer drew a parallel between Sheen and Trump.
However, nine years later, he has a new spin on it.
People find the current president appealing because he openly expresses whatever thought comes to mind, even if it seems foolish. They often justify this behavior as him being genuine or true to himself.
To put it in a more personal and approachable way, let me share an observation I’ve made about someone. He often comes across as the seasoned gentleman seated at the local watering hole, dispensing unsolicited wisdom on global matters. However, I can’t help but feel that beneath this facade lies an individual who may not be achieving his true potential.

Cyler added: “He’d make a more suitable president than Trump,” the actor clarified, adjusting his previous statements slightly.
He remarked during Wednesday’s podcast, “It’s not right to categorize both of them as if they are identical.
In January, Cryer surprised Bill Maher by expressing liberal views on why Kamala Harris supposedly didn’t win against Donald Trump, which he described as distasteful.
In my uncontainable excitement, I couldn’t help but dive into the latest episode of Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast, where the legendary Two and a Half Men actor shared his thoughts. He passionately argued that the reason Trump won the election was rooted in the deep-seated prejudice among Republicans towards Black women and transgender individuals.
The HBO presenter, who has publicly criticized liberals and Democrats in a widely discussed talk show, initially shared his views on the reasons behind the Democratic Party’s defeat.
In simpler terms, Maher stated, “I had alerted everyone about Trump earlier, and later, I made it clear that I had already warned them about the factors leading to his re-election – these were misguided wokeness, which unfortunately played a role in his victory.
Cryer intervened, indicating it could be many factors, with ‘possibly’ wokeness being one of them.
Following Maher’s proposal that data supported his stance, Cryer countered by attributing the election outcome to rising prices, asserting that “Americans dislike” inflation.
The comic acknowledged that inflation ‘certainly was part of it’ when Cryer unleashed on him.

According to Cryer, they strongly dislike inflation, civil unrest (riots), and they have a strong dislike towards Black women and transgender individuals.
In a surprised tone, Maher exclaimed: “Goodness gracious, Jon, it seems like we won’t-” But before he could finish, Cryer interjected, informing him that Republicans had invested a massive sum, approximately $400 million, on advertising against those issues.
The Cryer firmly asserted that the hundreds of millions of dollars were being used for ‘vilifying transgender individuals, which is utterly reprehensible.’
Maher had enough, saying: ‘Yeah. We shouldn’t talk politics.’
As a die-hard fan, I wholeheartedly concur! It’s not that we should or shouldn’t, but rather, it’s fantastic news! Frankly, I don’t feel compelled, and neither does my inner fangirl, to make any specific decision right now.
As a lifestyle guide, I proposed an idea for a unique talk show titled “Deprogramming Duckie”, inspired by the character portrayed by Cryer in Pretty in Pink. My aim is to engage and educate individuals on both ends of the political spectrum, offering a fresh perspective that could help us all move past our current divisiveness.
