Jon Bon Jovi shared that he becomes emotional thinking about becoming a grandfather, as he considers this a new and exciting phase of his life.

Musician Jon Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea, became first-time grandparents this summer. Their son, Jake, and his wife, Millie Bobby Brown, welcomed a baby girl through adoption.

Millie, who married Jake last year, surprised her followers with an announcement on August 21st: she’s adopted a child.

You know, I was chatting with Jon recently, and it was so sweet! He confessed he still thinks of his kids as little babies – it’s amazing how quickly time flies, isn’t it? But he’s really excited about Christmas this year, calling it a ‘unique’ one. It sounds like they’re embracing a new chapter, and I think that’s wonderful.

He told The Mirror that becoming a grandfather is wonderful and a new experience. He’s about to have two grandchildren, as his son Jesse and his wife are expecting a baby any day now.

It’s strange getting used to my kids being adults. In my mind, they’re still little, but then they’re grown with families of their own, and it feels like a whole new chapter in life.

He admitted he’d likely be moved to tears when Dorothea found out Jesse’s baby was born, describing it as a beautiful and emotional part of life.

Jesse, age 30, married TV producer Jesse Light, 31, in Las Vegas in May 2024. The couple had been engaged for two years prior to the wedding.

Okay, so, like, I totally lost it when Millie posted on Instagram on July 20th! She posted a pic of Jake pushing a stroller, and OMG, everyone thinks it’s a hint they’re having a baby! I’ve been following them forever, and I swear, I think it’s true! I’m so excited, I can’t even!

They announced the adoption of their baby girl in August with a social media post saying, ‘We’re thrilled to welcome our sweet daughter this summer!’

Life has taken a beautiful turn! Jake and I are absolutely thrilled to be growing our family and welcoming a little one into the world. We’re choosing to enjoy this incredibly special time privately, as we prepare for the joys of being parents. It’s a dream come true, and we’re so excited for what’s to come. They got married in May 2024 and had talked about starting a family, including having children and considering adoption. They hoped to have a large family together.

Earlier this year she said she wanted to be a mother. 

During a conversation on the Smartless podcast with Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett, the actress shared that she’s excited about becoming a mother, even though she knows she’s still young.

She shared that her mother was only 21 when she had her first child, and her father was 19 at the time. She added that this has been something she’s thought about for a long time, even before she met Jake.

Ever since I was little, I’ve always dreamed of being a mother, wanting to be just like my own mom. My grandmother was also incredibly important to me and played a big role in my life.

Millie explained that Jake understands how much starting a family means to her. While she’s dedicated to building her career as both an actor and a producer, she also feels it’s important for her to have children personally.

‘It’s a huge thing. Jake was like, we cannot do that until we get married. So that was his thing.’

Millie then added: ‘And my thing was, I really want a family. I really want a big family.

Both my partner and I come from families with four children, so we’re open to having a larger family in the future. Personally, I don’t see a big difference between having a biological child and adopting – both are wonderful ways to become a parent.

She explained that her and Jake create a welcoming and loving home where everyone feels comfortable. They believe in an open-door policy and want anyone who visits to feel at ease.
