The vibrant, neon-lit store overflows with various merchandise related to different items, and it also offers Iggy’s Cafe, an interactive experience for enthusiasts. Here, visitors can enjoy a cup of tea, piece of cake, or bowl of ice cream. This store is situated on the sixth floor of Shibuya PARCO and is predicted to attract substantial queues. To manage potential shopping chaos at the store, a lottery was launched on June 5, allowing fans to secure one of the restricted spots available on the opening day.
First introduced in 1987 and still ongoing, “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” is an expansive series that boasts 136 volumes divided into nine primary storylines, each focusing on a new JoJo character such as Jonathan Joestar, Joseph Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, Josuke Higashikata, Giorno Giovanna, Jolyne Cujoh, Johnny Joestar, and the second Josuke Higashikata, more popularly known as JoJolion. The series has gained significant attention not only from its manga but also through multiple adaptations on television and cinema screens.
In the past few weeks, the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series has faced criticism due to the debate surrounding the application of generative artificial intelligence in creating its latest soundtrack for the recently premiered Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan: At a Confessional. This spin-off from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable started airing in 2020, with episodes continuing to be released, such as the one that debuted on May 23.
Composer Naruyoshi Kikuchi shared on social media that this is the first soundtrack in the history of global entertainment films where every single track was fully composed by an Artificial Intelligence, not just partially used. Here at SHIN-ON-GAK Production Studio, we’ve pooled all our resources and put forth our best effort to create profoundly haunting compositions for this project. Fans, we can hardly wait for you to experience it! It’s worth noting that the use of generative AI in arts has sparked debates, with Araki previously criticizing such tools as deceptive.
