As a devoted viewer, I found myself utterly astounded during the latest Celebrity Big Brother episode when JoJo Siwa confessed her unfamiliarity with Jedward, a revelation that left me, and many others, in disbelief, given their previous encounter.

21-year-old American dancer found herself puzzled following Danny Bear’s remark that she and Chris Hughes (aged 32), when together, resemble the band Jedward (aged 33).

In the privacy of her diary room, JoJo expressed, “Danny labeling us Jedward was certainly sneaky!

Big Brother inquired if Chris had clarified who Jedward are for her. She responded by saying, “No, he didn’t. He only mentioned that they are bothersome twin brothers.

‘Also Celebrity Big Brother alumni, Jedward if you are watching good evening,’ said Big Brother.

JoJo then said: ‘Good evening Jedward!’ 

Jedward were left less than impressed by Chris’ response to JoJo and took to X to hit back. 

They wrote: “Chris made such a surprising statement because he has a crush on Jojo, who is the female equivalent of us! We hadn’t realized who Chris was until Gemma Collins informed us about it on Big Brother (#cbb)”.

Even though JoJo doesn’t recognize them, pictures of Jedward and the singer hanging out backstage during a concert in June 2024 have reappeared online.

Enthusiasts quickly flocked to the platform now known as X (previously Twitter), to repost the pictures and express their excitement about her response, saying they were ‘laughing uproariously’.

I can’t believe it! I, a die-hard JoJo fan, can hardly fathom her total unawareness of Jedward, seeing as we’ve even shared a space together before. It’s just too funny!

‘Jojo not knowing who jedward are when she has a picture with them is taking me out;

Yelling at Jedward, implying that they persuaded JoJo to participate in Big Brother, but she’s unaware of who they actually are.”

Or simply:

“Shouting at Jedward because they might have convinced JoJo for Big Brother, yet she doesn’t recognize them.

‘It’s funny cause JoJo actually met Jedward before;

‘I’m dying Jojo has literally met Jedward and she has no idea who they are;

I’m surprised that I don’t recognize Jedward, even though JoJo has met them and there’s video proof of the encounter.

Jojo wept, seemingly unaware that Jedward is familiar to her since they’ve already met and even posed for photos together.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about the rumor that circulated earlier – a rumor suggesting that the captivating Dance Moms star was persuaded by none other than Jedward, the beloved Irish pop duo, to join forces for an ITV show. If this is indeed true, it promises to be an unforgettable spectacle!

John and Edward Grimes, known as Jedward, gained popularity during the sixth season of The X Factor UK in 2009; they are identical twins.

The twins participated in Celebrity Big Brother not just once but twice – first in 2011 where they placed third, and then again in 2017, ending up as the runners-up.

After JoJo announced on the ITV show this week that she no longer identifies as a lesbian, this development occurred.

The Dance Moms star has been raising eyebrows over her ‘flirty’ friendship with housemate Chris. 

Currently, JoJo has publicly discussed her sexual orientation, as she had earlier mentioned to fellow housemates, “I prefer women.” In a discussion, this revelation sparked some homophobic comments from Mickey Rourke, who is 72 years old.

On Tuesday evening’s live broadcast, after a three-contestant elimination that led to the departures of Patsy Palmer, Ella Rae Wise, and Angellica Bell, JoJo was caught conversing privately with RuPaul’s Drag Race star Danny Beard.

In a quiet conversation in their bedroom, she admitted, “I feel really strange,” to which Danny replied, “I identify as strange!

JoJo, who is dating influencer Kath Ebbs, previously held the belief that she was a lesbian. However, being with her has made him question this identity and realize that he identifies as queer rather than strictly lesbian.

JoJo went on to say, “That’s really neat! I’m changing my letter, moving from ‘L’ to ‘Q’. That’s one aspect of sexuality that I find fascinating.

Following a warm embrace, Danny, who goes by the pronouns they/them (as they identify as non-binary), playfully remarked: “You know what the British are particularly fond of above all else? Standing in line!

The word “queer” is often referred to as a catch-all term, used for individuals who identify their sexual orientation as anything beyond heterosexual.

This encompasses individuals who are drawn towards both their same gender and the opposite gender, as well as those identifying as non-binary and transgender.

The organization Stonewall explains that this term refers to individuals who choose not to identify strictly with traditional labels related to sexual orientation and/or gender identity.

JoJo came out as pansexual in 2021 but has described herself as gay in recent interviews.
