JoJo Siwa reveals major next step in her relationship with Chris Hughes as she shares loved up festive snaps

JoJo Siwa announced on Instagram that she and Chris Hughes will be celebrating Christmas together, marking a significant milestone in their relationship.

The 22-year-old Dance Moms star shared sweet photos of herself and her 32-year-old Love Island boyfriend, gazing lovingly at him while announcing she’ll be spending Christmas in the UK.

Oh my gosh, you guys, she’s celebrating Christmas a whole week early with her family in America! It’s so sweet! But then… then she’s going overseas! I wonder where?! I’m dying to know! I’m just so excited for her, even if it means she’s far away for the actual holiday. I’m tracking her every move, obviously!

She shared with her followers that her favorite season is here! She’s been happily spending the last three days preparing for the holidays.

Things are kicking off early this year! Today I begin rehearsals for my Black Friday show at the Mall of America, followed by some dance studio visits for meet-and-greets and classes. It’s also my mom’s birthday, and we’re celebrating Christmas with my family a week early so I can travel to England for the holidays. It’s a busy time, but Christmas is officially here!

JoJo and Chris unexpectedly fell in love after meeting on the UK version of Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year.

After their friendship blossomed into a romance, Chris and JoJo’s relationship has continued to grow stronger, and JoJo’s family has warmly embraced him.

While on tour last month, JoJo playfully called Chris’ parents her ‘future in-laws’ when his whole family came to see her perform in Birmingham.

JoJo told the crowd she had some ‘guests of honor’ in attendance for the show.

Chris surprised JoJo with flowers at the show, and was seen sitting with his parents, Val and Paul, and his brother Ben. JoJo’s parents, Tom and Jessalynn, were also there with them.

I loved seeing that moment on the show when JoJo acknowledged Chris’ parents were there! It was so sweet, and she playfully said she’d be on her best behavior, which was just adorable.

She asked Val to wave, saying, ‘Can we get a good wave from up there?’ She then explained to everyone that Val is the mother of her son, the person who brings her the most joy in the world.

‘I’m very delighted to have the guests of honor tonight, Val and Paul Hughes everyone.’

JoJo promised a great performance and said she was on her best behavior, but the audience immediately responded with loud boos.

JoJo quickly responded, explaining, ‘I need to be on my best behavior tonight – my future in-laws are here!’

Before the concert, Chris unexpectedly gave JoJo flowers backstage. He explained he’d decided to attend the show at the last minute because he wouldn’t be seeing her for a while.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the conversation around JoJo’s openness about her identity, and it’s really refreshing to see. She’s clarified that identifying as not straight is true for her, and that her current relationship with Chris doesn’t erase or change her past relationships with women. It’s a powerful message about embracing all parts of who you are.

She’s openly pansexual and has previously been in relationships with women. More recently, she developed a connection with Chris, a star from Love Island, while they were both on Celebrity Big Brother in April, and now describes herself as queer.

JoJo shared that she received a lot of negative reactions from the LGBTQ+ community after she started dating someone of the opposite sex, even though her relationship is now thriving. She described the negativity as being very intense.

During an interview on Sirius XM’s Smith Sisters Live, she revealed that people close to her are unaware of the significant amount of negativity and hostility she’s faced from people within her own community.

The fact that I’m currently dating someone of the opposite gender doesn’t define my sexuality. And even if I were to say, ‘Yes, I’m straight,’ that wouldn’t change the fact that I still support and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.

JoJo explained that she is attracted to men and is currently in a relationship with one. However, she also emphasized that her past experiences and relationships shouldn’t be dismissed or invalidated simply because of her current attraction.

I first fell in love with a woman who was also my best friend, and we had a wonderful relationship. I’ve had relationships with women and non-binary people since then, and now I’m in a relationship with a man.

She described her love for him as unlike anything she’d ever felt, saying he made her feel incredibly special. She believes they were meant to be together and that falling in love with him is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to her.
