She remarked, ‘Regardless of who you might be or the role you play, remember that you are unique and radiant in your own way. Every person’s life story and path through life is distinct.’

Siwa, who surprised her fans by starting a relationship with Chris Hughes, 32, from Celebrity Big Brother UK in April, stated that the most captivating aspect of love is simply that it’s just love.

During her time on Celebrity Big Brother UK’s 24th season, JoJo disclosed, ‘I’ve long identified as a lesbian, but here, I’ve come to understand, “Uh-oh, I’m not a lesbian; I’m queer.” I find that quite fascinating. I’m making a change in my label.’

In a conversation with Us Weekly later on, the ex-personality from Dance Moms expressed her belief that such a comment might not air on TV.

She shared that the discussion we were having seemed unlikely to be shared publicly, but as it turned out, I’m glad it was. In fact, I believe it opened up a captivating dialogue about queerness. To me, the exuberance within the queer community is exceptionally unique and enchanting, she expressed to the publication.

She went on to reject putting her sexuality ‘in a box.’

As an ardent admirer, let me express that the phrase “Queer” serves as a stunningly inclusive term for our beloved LGBTQIA family. To me, identifying as a woman and having a non-binary partner, yet labeling myself as a lesbian seems nothing short of mind-boggling!

‘I’ve come to understand that my perspective on the world is uniquely queer, and this realization doesn’t stem from any external factors. I take pride in who I am, but it’s disheartening to see society struggle with this issue. It leaves me astonished.’

Prior to her romance with Hughes, JoJo had a short-term relationship with Kath Ebbs, an Australian content creator identifying as non-binary.

Their unceremonious breakup happened at the Celebrity Big Brother UK wrap party in April.

In the year 2022, Siwa had to respond following her statement to Yahoo! Life that she isn’t fond of the term ‘lesbian.’

She used TikTok to explain and defend her earlier statement, insisting that she didn’t call the term “lesbian” offensive or derogatory.

In an interview with the publication, the former Lifetime star expressed discomfort with the term and stated, “It’s overwhelming, in a way. Yet, when it boils down to it, that’s essentially who I am.

She found it similar to the term ‘moist,’ a word that some individuals dislike due to its unusual sounding phonetics.

She compared it to the word “moist,” saying it was similar but not in a favorable way, which seemed to disappoint some of her fans.

On TikTok, she emphasized, “I don’t consider this term dirty because it isn’t. It’s not derogatory, and it’s certainly not something I feel embarrassed to use or identify with in any way.

The dancer with blonde hair commented, “I don’t have a problem with the term ‘lesbian.’ When discussing my sexual orientation, I simply tell people that I identify as gay.

‘[Lesbian] is not the word that flows off the tongue for me, if that makes sense.’
