Johnny Vaughan confirms  his ‘dearest’ father Randal has died as former Big Breakfast star pays moving tribute on social media

In a recent Instagram update, television and radio host Johnny Vaughan shared the sad news about the passing of his father.

On Sunday morning, Vaughan, famously recognized as the host of the lively Channel 4 show The Big Breakfast, announced the passing of retired engineer Randal.

He posted a collection of pictures on social media and captioned it: “Dad passed away and I’m feeling incredibly sad.

The speaker, who was 59 years old, added a touching excerpt from the well-known Broadway song “I’ll Be Seeing You” to his remarks.

In the morning light and during the freshness of the new night, while gazing at the sun and the moon respectively, my thoughts will be with you.

Notable friends like Denise Van Outen, who co-hosted The Big Breakfast with him from 1998 to 2001, were some of the initial individuals expressing their thoughts upon hearing his announcement.

Responding to the post, she wrote: ‘Thinking of you Johnny. Sending you the biggest hug.’ 

Elsewhere, fellow TV presenter Kate Thornton added: ‘So sorry for your loss.’ 

After Kelly Brook took over from Van Outen on The Big Breakfast, she expressed her sympathy by saying, “Sending you all my love during this difficult time.

Apart from that, Richard Bacon extended his sympathies, stating: “I’m deeply saddened by the news, Johnny. You are greatly admired and I hold a deep affection for you.
