Keanu Reeves, known for his role in John Wick and often overlooked as an action movie star, may have hinted at a return to one of his popular franchises. He consistently champions straightforward, exciting action films while also taking on big projects like his new role in the Netflix thriller, The Rip. Now, after ten years, he seems ready to take on a new challenge.
As a huge martial arts film fan, I was really excited to see Scott Adkins posting some training clips on X! He’s definitely fueling the fire for a potential Undisputed 5, hinting that we might see Yuri Boyka back in action – he really is a complete fighter, in my opinion. But that’s not all! He captioned the post saying he was ‘back at in the #BoykaGym – my BatCave,’ which has everyone wondering if he might be joining the DC Universe in a big way. It’s getting fans like me super hyped about what he’s up to!
Yuri Boyka first appeared as a villain in the 2006 film Undisputed II: Last Man Standing, fighting Michael Jai White’s character in a Russian prison. He later became the main character, returning in Undisputed III: Redemption (2010) and Boyka: Undisputed (2016). Fans have been passionately requesting another installment, with many online asking for Undisputed 5 or Boyka 5.

I recently read on MovieWeb that Michael Jai White had a basic idea for another Undisputed movie last year. I’m really hoping he’s managed to pitch it to the producers and they’re actually considering making it happen!
I’ve been toying with an idea for a while now, but it’s still just a seed of a thought, honestly. I’m not looking to recreate something that would require a lot of physical work – I don’t think I could ever top what we achieved before, and let’s be real, age is definitely a factor. But this character… he’s just so complex and fascinating. I keep imagining his backstory, what events led him to where he ended up, what his life was like before. It’s all just daydreams at this point, though. The big hurdle is convincing the people who own the rights to let me explore it, but yeah, I’d really love to. We’ll see if it ever comes together.
Fans are thrilled that Scott Adkins hinted at a Batcave connection. Many commented that he’d be a great Bruce Wayne, with one user simply writing, “Perfect Bruce Wayne!” It’s well-known Adkins has the potential to play Batman; he even auditioned for the role in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, though Ben Affleck ultimately landed the part. Adkins previously appeared in The Rip as Ben Affleck’s brother.

As a huge action movie fan, I’ve been really enjoying seeing Scott Adkins in everything lately – he’s fantastic in The Rip on Netflix alongside Ben Affleck and Matt Damon! And it sounds like he’s got a ton more cool projects coming up. I’m especially excited to see him team up with Iko Uwais from The Raid in the new Skyline movie, Warpath. Plus, there’s a period thriller called Bedlam, a fast-paced action film that reminds me of Guy Ritchie’s work called Reckless, and another sequel, One Last Shot. Seriously, keep an eye out for this guy – he’s a force!
