John Wick fans will be delighted by surprise new movie announcement

Enthusiasts of the John Wick series are bound to rejoice as news about a fresh prequel film focusing on a crucial storyline has been made public.

It’s been made official that a fresh animated project is under development, featuring the return of Keanu Reeves as the voice for his character.

Thrillingly, this venture dives into the untold tale of John Wick, set prior to the initial film. It’s about how I, as John Wick, embark on a lethal one-night spree, eliminating adversaries to honor my debt to the High Table.

At the event known as CinemaCon, the new project was unveiled. This project is set to be helmed by Shannon Tindle, with screenplay by Vanessa Taylor. Additionally, renowned director Chad Stahelski, who has a long-standing history with the ‘John Wick’ series, will also contribute as a co-producer.

According to Stahelski (as reported by The Hollywood Reporter), he’s long been captivated by anime. It’s had a tremendous impact on him, particularly in shaping the John Wick series.

It seems like an ideal move to create an anime adaptation of the ‘John Wick’ series, as this could be the ideal platform for the ‘John Wick’ universe. I believe the ‘John Wick’ franchise is uniquely suited for the anime medium because it allows us to explore and enrich the world, characters, and action in ways that were previously unthinkable.

Adam Fogelson, chairman of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, remarked: “Both in our animated films and the universe of John Wick, there’s no limit to what we can create.

Fans of the John Wick series eagerly anticipate another tale, and the Impossible Mission promises to deliver. Shannon’s unique perspective on this story has us thrilled, and we can’t wait to witness John Wick’s exploits brought to life in animation.

Simultaneously, there was an official confirmation of the much-anticipated fifth installment in the John Wick series, titled John Wick: Chapter 5. Keanu Reeves will reprise his role, while Chad Stahelski continues as the film’s director.

It emerged as well that Donnie Yen, the lead actor, will direct the spin-off focusing on Caine, which he’s reprising his role for.

Upcoming in the similar vein as “John Wick,” the movie titled “Ballerina” is scheduled to hit theaters, featuring Ana de Armas as the assassin Eve Macarro. The release date is set for this coming June.
