John Mulaney postpones his comedy shows in ‘unsafe’ Minneapolis after ICE killed mom-of-three

John Mulaney has delayed his Minneapolis comedy shows following the fatal shooting on Wednesday involving an ICE officer.

The comedian, who used to be on Saturday Night Live, is currently performing his ‘Mr. Whatever’ show. He had shows planned at The Armory this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

On Thursday evening, he announced on X that the shows would be postponed due to dangerous conditions in the city.

The decision follows the shooting death of Renee Nicole Good, a mother of three, by a federal agent in Minneapolis on Wednesday during immigration enforcement activities.

‘What’s happening in your city is heartbreaking,’ the comedian wrote in his note.

He explained that he really didn’t want to cancel shows in a city that was already dealing with so much hardship and sadness, as it didn’t seem right to those who were looking forward to them.

He added that he was still uneasy about asking so many people to leave their homes, come to the event, and then travel back in such dangerous conditions each night.

Hey everyone, just a quick update regarding tickets for this weekend’s event! If you already have tickets for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday – April 10th, 11th, and 12th respectively – they’ll absolutely be good for those days. If you have any questions or need a refund, the best thing to do is reach out to whoever you bought the tickets from, or directly contact Ticketmaster. I hope this helps and I’ll see you there!
