John Carpenter, the celebrated director behind classic horror films like *Halloween*, *The Fog*, *The Thing*, and *Christine*, is expanding into television. He’s partnered with Elevation Pictures to executive produce a new horror anthology series called *John Carpenter Presents*. Michael Amo and Will Pascoe, both experienced television producers, will create and run the show alongside Carpenter.
The new anthology series follows a variety of characters confronting both supernatural and deeply unsettling real-world fears, reflecting the anxieties of today’s society, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The first season is set in the Alaskan wilderness, but details about the cast and directors haven’t been announced yet. John Carpenter has suggested he might direct again if the project is a good fit, and this series could be the ideal opportunity for him to return to directing.
